So I've seen one or two posts on the subject and no real answers.

When entering the Captain's quarters seemingly at random the character will be standing there looking like a member of the blue man group.

Here

No wait...

Any ideas on this yet? Many people are experiencing it.

Clearing the cache usually fixes the problems with my characters when something goes wrong. Give that a go and see what happens.

Close down EVE and then go to "C:\Users\[windows login]\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\[folder similar to install path]\cache\Avatars" (path might be a bit different if you're still on Windows XP) and delete everything sitting in that sub folder (should be just another sub folder called "cachedMaps").

The client will recreate those files the next time it's run, just ensure you keep it open and the active window till loading is complete (i.e. you see your character). Character rendering still seems to fail sometimes, if the client isn't open (e.g. minimized or not the active program while in fullscreen mode).

Oh, I forgot to add. Disabling physically simulate clothes and hair fixes of these rendering issues.
