does firefox give you a warning on windows, or just chrome?

also is your machine enrolled in a computer domain. sometimes you have too many certs installed.

Haven't been using FireFox on Windows for a while. Though FireFox on Ubuntu doesn't give me any warnings. Neither does Safari on OS X 10.7.1. My Desktop is a standalone computer btw, not involved with any domains ;)

There's an update to ubuntu which removes Diginotar certs btw, oh and in Ubuntu certs are on /usr/share/ca-certificates FYI.

Oh and ye, I forgot that the owner of RapidSSL is GeoTrust aye, and it's certificate should show up with this name, sorry.

If you're having certificate issues on Windows, try the pages with Internet Explorer (updated to IE8 (Windows XP) or IE9 (Windows Vista/Windows 7)). If they work without a warning, there might be something wrong with the third party certificate storage. If they fail to verify as well, there might be something wrong with Windows' certificate storage and/or your connection.

In any way you can try to install the latest root certificate update by hand. Right now this seems to be the update for June 2011.

Thanks for all the help so far. I'll try some of the solutions posted here when I get back home. I'll reply to this topic if any of the solutions worked ;)
