That's it? That's your definition of wealthy? What?

Oh. You again. The legend in his own mind.

Well, you technically can never die (permanently) in EVE, so better rethink that one again :) Additionally, as you are also technically never without a ship of at least some kind, how on earth can you define 'wealth' in this context? Straight

I'm assuming wealthy would be someone able to pay for all of his accounts with PLEX and still have hundreds of billions left over.

"Wealth" is subjective to the player in question.

For what I do (Die horribly in Thrashers and Rifters, mine and explore) I am wealthy with my measly 11 billion isk

For others who actively purchase capital ships and officer mods, that would not be remotely adequate nor sustainable

For a noob who uses T1 Merlins that would be an inexhaustible fountain of wealth.

As I said right above, it all depends on the activity and player in question

The pie is a tautology

For me it is plex subscription and growing wealth despite fooling around with your isk for stupid ideas. (like buying dresses on the market, train additional chars or testfly ships that surely get blown apart)

Also for me a wallet with less than 10 billion in it for timely investments feels unsecure, so I avoid falling under that.

I agree that looking at just isk is misleading - some people spend isk almost at the rate they earn it, and as a result have far more ships and modules and less isk in the bank than, say, someone who hoards it for when they really need it. Personally my spending is limited by the skills I can put to use, and that directly controls the reserves in my wallet. So playstyle influences what can be considered "wealthy". What may be wealthy for a pirate may be small beans to a market trader who needs massive capital for investments. There is no absolute scale. You could give me a trillion isk and to be honest, I'd run out of things to spend it on due to my skill limitations and my conservative playstyle when it comes to ship combat.

My cooking is like my lovemaking - fast, greasy, and unsatisfying.

It all depends on what you do and what your goals are. Me personally I have about 28 bil in isk and some 4-5 more in assets, in the grand scheme of things that's nothing but it's wealthier than most. I don't care for it, it doesn't bother me and I'm not enticed to make more, especially not as I didn't work for it. I can buy all the things I realistically would like to use (I don't do bling factor) for a long long time.

To me, the second you stop having to bother about isk is the second you're wealthy. It's all relative really.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

Lady Spank declares again! Woo hoo. Lady Spank's good reason is 'cause Lady Spank did it; the long and short of it.
If ego were a salable commodity, Lady Spank would trump Donald Trump.

A net worth of 1000 PLEX is my definition of wealthy, so about 500B isk at the moment.

Your definition leaves no room for fun. Also, you miss the real value entirely.
Oh...you're a "mine's bigger than yours" kinda guy? That's so very childish.

You are wealthy if RMT would actually be cost effective for you and give you the wages of a Chinese Serf

(This toon in no way endorses RMT or anyone or anything associated with RMT. But does endorse trolling or anyone or anything)

If you have enough isk to do the thing what you do, you're wealthy enough.
If you have to sit in station because you don't have enough iskies for a ship to go pew pew with, you're doing it wrong.

Don't believe the people who claim that it is normal to have hundreds of billions of ISK in your wallet:

Quote:
The mean wallet balance for chars between 5 and 10m SP - 358m ISK. Between 20 and 30m SP - 671m ISK. 50m-75m SP - 1,584m ISK.

ANyways, how "wealthy" you are depends on what you do in EVE. If you fly rifters, then a couple hundred million ISK is definitely wealthy

If you fly battleships then a couple billion ISK is wealthy

If you fly capital ships then a couple dozen billion ISK is wealthy

If you fly super caps then several hundred billion ISK is wealthy

ANd if you are a trader, 1+ trillion ISK is wealthy.

I think it's more rare to be poor than rich nowadays. Too damn easy to make money, and too little **** exploding.

As has been said, wealth is relative to what you're doing with it. Personally, I've never really seen the point of grinding ISK beyond what I needed it for, but for a lot of people in EvE making money is an end in itself.

IMO, if you have enough to do what you want, and still play after a day, you are wealthy.

Isk vs SP graph

Though you could argue that SP is likley more valuable.

Wont show assests of course or corporation/alliance wealth.

And in an attempt to try and do a carebear hug, the ultimate wealth is of course all your freinds ... erm ... people you choose to fly with ..... ok, frenemies. Bear

Wealthy is being able to do everything you want without having to worry about ISK.
