Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out: 5
Average FPS - Zoomed in: 5
On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) : 1 although brackets were not disabled
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? Yes, crash to desktop at arrival to Poitot gate from station
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc: In the graphics opinions menu have recommended fleet engagement settings to help FPS. Black screen in mass undock seemed like a crash, some text to show the client is still running would be beneficial.

I've not done any kinda large fleet fight in a long time so it's hard for me to know how well what happened on SISI compares to a large fleet flight on TQ now. The last big fight I was in had A LOT more people in system about 1800 ish. Anyway, this seemed pretty good overall, and as this was my first time on SISI at a test the whole thing ran smoother on my Mac than I was expecting, changing overview settings and even turning brackets on zoomed out was ok. The only thing was maybe getting a black screen while undocking from the station, but this loaded within a minute or two. The gate jump was, I felt pretty smooth and responsive considering the numbers, and was certainly better than I find on TQ at times with a lot less activity.

Oh and we used a little officer mods. KIDDING! We used a lot of officers mods, A LOT! Because we don’t :censored: around in low-sec.

OS: Windows 7 64 bit.
CPU: Intel Core i7 3 Ghz
GPU: GeForce GTX 570
RAM: 12 gb

Was running one client with graphics on high.

Average fps zoomed in 13
Average fps zoomed out 14
No brackets on, during gate fight.

This test was very good. If only the undocking part had gone a bit smoother it would have been a solid 9. Instead I'm giving this test an 8.

Since I was not using a mac, I couldn't partake in that part of the test. But overall for me this was one of your solid tests.

  • Gate jumping was fine. Fleet fight was not laggy and I had brackets on...but I did find it took longer too aquire target than on TQ. The Fleet undocking was where I experienced a very long time of black screen. All other fights; starbase and NPC were enjoyable with no discerbanle problems.

  • Were you running more than one EVE client? How many? Just one
  • Graphic setting of the client (low / medium / high): High settings on everything except AA turned OFF and "Effects" turned off to stop the FPS-killing sebo effect, hide all brackets

User Experience

  • Average FPS during fight at the gate in Poitot, with brackets disabled - Zoomed out: Between 10 and 15 FPS zoomed out
  • Average FPS - Zoomed in: Not too much difference, maybe between 9 and 13 FPS zoomed in
  • On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome)
  • I don't do fleet fights (mostly a hauler) so this is a "2" compared to what I normally experience on TQ, but overall nothing game-breaking (crashes, bugs, or lag-wise), and better than the test 2 weeks ago IMO which I had to rank a "1" because of the crash I had then.

Performance of EVE-VOICE is still choppy/stuttery enough that I could barely make out what was being said at the best of times and couldn't hear it at all at the worst of times. I am running Linux so this could be a Wine issue and I'll have to check with other Wine users (I think mumble or mangler is more commonly used on Linux).
  • Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? None
  • Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.:
  • This one didn't seem to take as long and the fleet seemed to be better behaved, I wasn't getting attacked by my own fleet waiting to jump, maybe because the test seemed to flow better, maybe because I was in a Drake and not in a Rattlesnake like the last time. :-)

POS shoot didn't seem to take as long as the previous time (2 weeks ago) but I had a CTD in the previous test and had to re-log.

FPS was better during the fleet combat than during the POS shoot - even zoomed out, the POS shoot dropped to around 5 FPS at times and was usually between 6 and 7 FPS.

I didn't have any issues with offline modules during undocking or combat, or any issues switching ammo (heavy missile) types. Warp tunnel was always present when it should have been.

However, prior to running LogServer, when setting up my Drake in-station (ie, fitting screen) some modules did, when dragged onto the ship, get installed as offline. Specifically the Large Shield Extender IIs in the 3rd and 4th mid slots, and the Shield Power Relay IIs in low slots 2 through 4. Unfortunately I wasn't saving logs at the time.

Idea: Since it can be difficult to setup the overview on the fly (during the fight) to display/not display certain object types, maybe an overview XML file can be provided that testers can import prior to the start of the test?

After the first jump and throughout the entire test I couldn't see any ship models or ship icons. At one point when shooting the POS tower my capacitor indicator got stuck: http://i.imgur.com/YPdDS.jpg. Got several freezes that lasted for several seconds, mostly during the fight at the gate.

The gate fight part was as smooth as the last time. However, the tower shooting part has greatly improved compared to August 25th test. Almost no module or drone lag, no looped targeting, no being stuck while trying to warp off. Even FPS was close to gate fight's.

The only troubles I had this time were a couple of freezes.
The first one was around 20:15, and it was rather a severe FPS drop than a complete freeze. FPS dropped from 10+ to 0.-1. with a very short total freeze before low FPS values were shown, and it happened when I tried to zoom out with the mass of the ships on the way of the camera.
The second one happened around 20:22 during warping to the station after the POS was destroyed, and it was a complete freeze. When it had ended, I was near the station already.
The third one was a black screen at the time of mass undock. During that FPS and Resource Cache Usage didn't change, only VM Size/D/TD changed a little.

Bugreport with logserver files sent.
