You're right, I also have doubts that he'll be able to successfully chair the CSM without letting his titanic and problematic ego get in the way. We should play it safe and just re-elect whoever chaired it last time, since that CSM did a great job, instead of taking chances on upstarts like this "The Mittani" guy.

There are other viable candidates who could be very good as chair of CSM7, without the ego issue.

None of which have chaired the only truly successful CSM in its history.

Of course I'm not saying that other people wouldn't do a fine job, it's just that attempts to say that Mittani won't be good at the job that he currently does and is very good at is kind of silly, don't you think?

I have never said, nor would I say that Mittens would not do a good job as Chair. But surely even as a Goon, you would not deny that Mitten has a well developed sense of self importance. You may well see this as a good thing.

I would just prefer a Chair without the ego.

There isn't a single CSM candidate without an ego. It's pretty much a requirement for this kind of job. Even the nutbar candidates have one.
