i run a 6 man pvp corp in low sec. we all have been playing for over a year now killin, lootin and so on. now we got hot dropped last week ( not uncommon in low sec we have all had it happen to us at one time or another ) and since that point we have been tryin to think of ways to counter the hot drops without having to use caps and/or counter hot dropping. since using caps with our size corp would be stupid i thought it best to go smaller and faster as it has worked many times when we are out numbered.

the ships we have been using to great effect are tengu and loki. tengu for its great dmg projection as well as speed and tank. loki for the same but with its webs being the most useful part. the idea is to use the ability to keep range using faction points on the tengus and webs on the loki for its range bonus to hold our targets till they reach pod status.

now i would like to use this to counter the hot drops vs 20+ ppl but add in logi like scims for thier speed and stable cap to keep my guys alive while we kill said targets. an off grid booster with skrimish links would be needed for us to hold a good range on ships like the rapier and arazu as thier long range webs and point are the most dangerous next to alpha which i hope to avoid.

the set up right now is 2 tengus, loki, and 2-3 scim for logi support. the biggest issue now is avoiding the alpha from a few pests and geddons that they commonly drop on us when we take the bait. having the scims on grid would be silly since they have such low EHP alpha would eat them alive when the drop happens so warpin them in after the drop would be necessary for them to atay alive.

any thoughts on wat i my be missing or wat i could use instead in the fleet would be helpful

Well, as odd as this is, you would probably benefit more from having one of those 3 scimis fly something else. A falcon would be good to jam enemy tacklers, a lolheavyneut curse could capnap people from 80k away, or something like a Naga or Tornado would add more DPS from a safer distance. In fact, you might try having two tanky ships draw the bait, then warp the rest of your gang in at 200k and snipe them to death with Railguns while the tanky ships hold point. Oh, and everyone should be using ECM drones.

Alternatively, get a troll squad of 5 drakes with FoF missiles and 2-3 ECM bursts, plus an Arazu/Lachesis to sit out of range and point things. NO LOCKS FOR YOU!Roll

EDIT: Apparently you cannot have multiple ECM bursts active at the same time. You may need to upgrade from Drakes to Scorpions, or switch to having several multispec targeted ECM modules per drake. Not as blob-proof though. I guess the best solution would be to stick an ECM burst on any ship with the mid to spare, so if it hits the fan, you all coordinate and hopefully break ALL the locks and warp away laughing.

any ecm ships like the falcon and scrop would be made useless since they dont scale very well once ur up against more then 5 ppl. plus the alpha would insta the falcon and a scrop wouldnt be able to keep up at the speed we would be goin.
a heavy neut curse would do a much better job if they can hit from 80+ km would really hurt any logi they bring and would help to kill alot of the problem ships like the rapier and arazu. wat would the EHP and resists be on the ship.

I also think you should use the heavy tackle + long range idea. I would consider adding/incorporating these ships into your plans: Alpha Tornado, Curse, Lach/Arazu. If you were to get 2 or 3 more people in your gang, it would be HUGE for you to fight the numbers/ships that you are up against.

Along the troll thread idea, you could try rollling 2-3 logi Tengu's to tackle and rep each other then use 3-4 Alpha Nados to deal the majority of your dps. If you go this route, a curse might be nice to neut any big time neuting boats they bring out.

EDIT: Curse would also be good to handle any falcons
