Something I'm not getting

I was messing around in an EvE isk per hour program, and I noticed that by making Bhaalgorns, even if you buy inresearched BPCs for around 1 billion, you could still make 9 billion isk if you run it 10 times. Am I not seeing something here or something, because that sounds like an aweful lot. I mean I understand that the costs of all the minerals involved would be tremendous, but I know that wealthy players could afford it. So help me out, am I just crazy or something?

. . . Faction Ship Prices are not determined by their material costs. The rarity of the blueprint is the main factor. The blueprint for a faction battleship accounts for 90% of the value, at least.

So no, no get rich quick sheme there.

The thing you're missing is that Bhalgorn BPCs are one-off BPCs that are dropped from exploration sites or bought via LP. So that 1B BPC only has one run on it, not 10. (All pirate ship BPCs are like this)

Incidentally, a one run BPC costs 1.1 billion, so no profits there.

Sometimes some of the ships can be made for a profit. For example I picked up some Worm BPCs for 36m each and the ships themselves sell for close to 50m. The trouble of course was that this involved close to a week of .01 ISKing other people and moving it to Amarr from Jita because prices were higher.

I currently have 4 succubi in Jita on an alt that I can't unload, whose price is slowly but surely falling.

Buying a faction BPC and making it for a profit can be a giant trap.

Wait if I can only run it once why does the description say 10 runs?
