On The Gallente Federation And Their Lies (Tama)

It has come to my attention that a number of vicious libels have been made by our Gallente enemies regarding the conduct of the Caldari State in post-liberation Tama. I will refute these claims one by one.

"Caldari civilians suspected of collaboration with Gallente occupiers have been summarily executed with no evidence whatsoever of their guilt."
-Lie. While an undisclosed number of Caldari citizens have been executed since liberation, they were all indisputably guilty of associating with Gallente occupiers. In one egregious example, 17 of these traitors were found inside a facility* directly established and funded by the Federation government. There can be no doubt as to their guilt and the necessity of their execution for the greater good of the State.

"Humanitarian aid has been deliberately withheld from communities whose leaders have not pledged their eternal allegiance to Tibus Heth"
-Lie. Within 24 hours of liberation, all community leaders at every level had declared their undying loyalty to the State and its leaders. Many of them with little or no physical coercion.

"Captured Federation personnel have been subjected to extreme mental and physical torture in order to extract Gallente military secrets."
-Lie. No Federation personnel have been captured alive. No surrenders were accepted from military personnel.

"Four Scope journalists carrying evidence of human rights abuses by State forces were assasinated in Kedama to stop them from reporting on the story."
-Lie. Caldari Navy search and rescue teams determined that the destruction of the Journalists' ship was due to an unfortunate malfunction in the primary power core of their ship. This caused a cascade failure in their capacitor power relays which in turn caused an explosion in their primary thruster array and destroyed the ship.

Having discredited these lies, we hope that more reasonable elements within the Federal military hierarchy will put an end to this campaign of aggression against State systems. We yearn for peace.

Sounds pretty tounge-in-cheek. Either that or you need a better PR writer.

Sigh. *shakes head*

At least the Amarr are straightforward about their expansionist motives. You, on the other hand, refer to "liberating" systems from the Federation by placing them under the stricter rule of the State, and then try to paint the Gallente as the ones who need to cease aggression. Please.

I sympathize with the Caldari peoples' yearning for independence and self-reliance, but the constant doublespeak, attacks on the Federation, and deliberate misinformation just looks like you guys are asking for trouble.

It's not my problem, I suppose. You support the Empire, and are thus in my cross-hairs.

You haven't actually discredited anything. You've just said "they're not true" without actually providing any evidence.

Sweety, this is the IGS. It never goes anywhere new or interesting here. The best you can hope for is brief diversion and entertainment.

Where is Diana Kim, by the way? She has a certain amusingly blunt, harsh, "modern-primitive" style that I like better, tbqfh. And no offense, OP, but she is rather better-looking, too--you really need to get some sun, hmmm?

I suppose it won't be too long until Federation and Caldari hot-heads alike roll into this thread and we have another mindless "Caldari Vs Gallente" discussion that never goes anywhere.

Hey, the last point amused me. It is true fusion power cores tend to suffer unfortunate malfunctions from time to time. Or actually pretty regularly, when penetrated by railgun shells.

So a tyrannical Government such as the Caldari State allows it's "loyalists" to arm themselves and fight on their behalf with no command structure or restraint given by the Caldari Navy and you act shocked and angered by the fact that these starship armed barbarians may have killed a few innocents?

Come on now, this makes me laugh.

I think you should have investigated a little before summarily executing people. My sources tell me the 17 were, indeed, in a federation establishment. It was a detention centre and the 17 were being held under suspicion of terrorist activities. Funny way to treat your freedom fighters.

More to the point, how in the hell are her claims supposed to be painting the Caldari in a good light?

I was considering answering this when it was first posted, but it's such a comically bad statement that I can barely believe it's anything but a joke. Frankly, I'm hoping the original poster returns to clarify her position.

The Gallente culture thrives on entertainment. In search of a 'good show' things as truth are seen as less important that good ratings. Sometimes their people forget if they are acting out a role or actually being themselves.

Don't put too much weight on what their media outlets show, they aren't meant to report truth anyway.

Upon reading this, a few possible reactions popped into my head:

  • Laugh nervously, hoping this is a joke.
  • Cry, possibly with the addition of shooting myself
  • Produce a hit musical parodying the amount of "Nuh uh, no way that happened!" going on here.
