I've been laughing at the "ninja" thing for years, but wtf is "binmen"??

"Ninja Salvaging" is about as ninja as a Rokh flying up to a pod and blasting it.

A ninja would hide in the shadows, appear suddenly and behead the noctis just as the last salvager cycle completed.

Collecting the salvage is no more or less honorable than shooting the red crosses in the first place.

I can see how one would get this notion after watching deadliest warrior.

I'm very fond of Amamake's resident ninja salvagers Spiderslayer and olega (or whatever). They are very PRO - warping in at range, staying aligned, fitting all lows with stabs, flying frigs and destroyers, and attempting to smack in local. Whenever there are unsalvaged or unlooted wrecks on scan, there they are.

As annoying as they can be at times, I will admit that chasing them has entertained me many times when things were slow. Using dual scram rfiters and dual scram rocket bombers to catch them always proves to be a good way to pass the time. Props to them for trying so hard for such small rewards.

Because binmen seem to think they are ciminals despite being high-sec borderline carebears and I like to humour them.

IF you think this, you've never come back to a mission site to find nothing but crap in a can. (Crap being ammo, cap boosters, and scrap metal.)

I once cleaned out an entire site following some dude from pocket to pocket salvaging while he killed the red crosses. Got some nice tears in local.

Ninja Salvaging to C&P is what jaywalkers are to society.

Many of them are as butthurt as carebears as well. The one and only time I had some binmen visit me in a mission, I greeted them, said I wish them good luck with the next 'customer' and gave them all wrecks - and in respond they raged in local about my "rage" and how mad I supposedly was. I was just being friendly and nice. Sad

I think it's hilarious how much work some of those binmen put into keeping everything clean.
More so if they salvage even in the least profitable mission.

Some days ago I'd done a L4 mission vs guristas where there are just 2 BS and lots of smaller crap.
I thought for some time if I should just leave those wrecks in space but then decided there's enough litter.
So I Jumped into my trusted noctis and warped to the first bookmark.
Instead of wrecks there was an acceleration gate.
A quick check told me I'd really turned in the mission, so I already guessed that I'd got a visitor.

Guessing that any profit oriented binman would go looking for greener grass I jumped in nevertheless to find some cans and some leftover wrecks.

I cleaned the stage and jumped to the next one.
Same here. Some wrecks some leftover cans from someone salvaging a part of the stage.
When I finally enteres the final stage I found a blinky red who, upon seeing my mighty noctis stopped looting the cans and salvaging the wrecks and warped of.

Dear binman, if you read this some Tips for nex time:
- If you clean up, do it properly
- If you plan on taking the loot as well do so from the start, so it's at least worth it.
- A noctis can't really hurt you, so no need to rum away (Or did you think I'd point and web you till my backup arrives? OK, that would have been insidious)
- If you properly clean up my missions be so kind as to tell me so I don't need to waste my time changing ship and flying back. (Thats really the only part I'm mad about bro. You successfully made me waste time.)
