Partnerships, how do you do it?

I had a conversation with my corp directors earlier today and we were discussing the best ways forward.

I am wondering if out there in new eden anyone has a partnership with a couple of people to do something like t2 production at a high-sec pos?

How do you split profits/define fair workloads/come to a consensus about what products to produce?

I know 0.0 politics reasonably well, there are a LOT more variables there but that's what makes it easier. Someone might not get anything for fighting over a goons tech moon, but they improve standings or gain the perceptions within the CFC for instance that their alliance is a fighting alliance. There are many things that one can gain.

But when it comes to small time production of freighters, battleships, t2 production in empire. How do you guys get along?

I have done it before as a solo operator, but am wondering if its' possible to expand into my current corp and am wondering how to create a framework for the work, time, and just generally for the effort each person puts in to make things liveable to all concerned.

Interested in any replies ;)

Edit: It doesn't count if you're married or related!! :)

My own experience with partnerships has been finding reliable partners.

It can make a big difference in a project if something is delayed by a week - if you are the one left holding the POS fuel bills while you wait for whatever it is you need sooner or later you are going to sod it and do it yourself.

Make sure everyone is aware of their responsibilities and find people who are committed - I have always worked on the basis of market value of goods or services provided, though some of those are a bit random or hard to estimate.

Everyone needs to feel included and making a profit they are happy with, or the whole system will not work though.

From my past experience of running these internal indy needs, it's not that hard. Just get all the guys interested in this together and see who wants to do what. Put the ball in their corner and they will self-organize especially if you are doing it amongst friends :)

I find that industrialist will sacrifice a bit if it means the corp grows and they have a chance to contribute
