Quick question about how bonuses are passed down. Do squad or wing commanders receive their own bonuses? I thought squad did, but wing didn't. Also, do these bonuses stack?

So for example, if pilot A is the wing commander, and pilot B is the squad commander, does pilot B receive bonuses from both A & B?

They recive their own bonuses.

Only the highest bonus will count, so B will get A and B but of course only the highest of each. so if A has Armoured warfare 3 and b has 2 he gets the warfare 3 bonus not 3+2 of course :) and at the same time if B has higher information warfare that is used for B and down but not for a.

Here is a pretty comprehensive guide explaining the functionality:

It's dated as it's missing T2 modules, but the other mechanics should still be valid.

There is a bug (?) were wing commanders do not recieve bonuses from the FC as I understand it

Statements in normal font apply, statements in italics apply most of the time or some times, and are most likely bugs. Yes, there is a lot of bugs.

A "valid" FC is one whose level of FC skill is equal or higher than the number of wings in his fleet.
A "valid" WC is one whose level of WC skill is equal or higher than the number of squads in his wing.
A "valid" SC is one whose level of Leadership skill times two is equal or higher than the number of people in his wing.

If you are docked, you can never be a valid FC, WC, or SC.
An invalid FC, WC, or SC doesn't give bonuses to anyone.

A valid SC gives his bonuses to all members of his squad in the same system as himself, including to himself.

A valid WC gives bonuses to all members of squads in his wing, which have a valid SC, when the SC and the member are in the same system as the WC. The bonus is sometimes not applied to SCs. The WC's bonus is also applied to himself if his wing contains at least one squad with at least one member.

A valid FC gives bonuses to all members of squads which have a valid SC and are in a wing with a valid WC, when the member, the SC, the WC, and the FC are all in the same system. The bonus is never applied to WCs, and sometimes not to SCs. The FC's bonus is also applied to himself if the fleet contains at least one wing, at least one squad, and at least one member.

All of the above applies to skill bonuses, ship bonuses (titans), and module bonuses (warfare links). All of the above also only applies if the FC/WC/SC is also the assigned fleet/wing/squad booster. In our tests we have never managed to give the booster role to another member of the fleet and have the bonuses passed down correctly to everyone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it breaks after the first session change with no changes in fleet coposition.
