Rumor flies on the solar winds.. Or, the fluid router network, whichever proves faster. And rumors abound from Arek Jaalan and beyond, confirming much of what he himself had suspected all along. The Jove were indeed culpable for mistakes in our ancient past. The extent was likely more far reaching than many would be willing to admit.

A remnant of an ancient Jovian culture resided in the Sleeper Enclaves, the Stasis People of legend. Jovian Statics, converted, willingly or not, into a cluster-spanning network, or virtuality, controlled by Jovian Elders, and the Enhuadanni of myth. Ancient personalities bent on domination. Or so the Jovian rumor mills now whisper..

It poses a multitude of questions to replace those answers hinted at amongst the rumor. Are the new “Immortal Soldiers” the Enhuadanni, “recreated” to serve our purpose, or some others? Sleeper Drones, Capsuleers? Is there a distinction? By extension, are Rogue Drones “insane” AI's, or something else? What is the massive structure they have been trying to erect all over the cluster?

His imagination sees a Jovian Mothership, and he wonders, is he doing the right thing, as his 1200mm cannons begin to shred the structure now totally void of defensive automatons, devoid of life? The Hive Bunkers glow with a mournful hue.

He thinks about the connection between his culture and that of others, the Intaki, the Ni-Kunni, the Krusual Tribe and the Tash Murkon Family. So many questions tax his cognitive systems as he warps off in the direction of the Caldari Naval Station in system.

He finds himself fixated on it, kicking in automated systems to compensate. Trying to forget the images of the shattered mining colony he leaves behind, bent on collecting a planetary reward in isk for his “efforts”.

He takes some small solace in his belief that the Jove live on, in all of us...

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then, and it's a poor sort of memory that only works backward.
