Lol

Great, I don't watch much TV anyway. I use to have a massive addiction for dragons den, the UK version and also shows like Gordon Ramsays etc. If you never watched that I would recommend it Twisted

Also them antique shows where some idiot shows up with a dirty painting of Rembrandt missing a frame and receives a heart-attackBig smile

Hehe that show destroyed it for the people that actually do it because people saw the show then started zerg rushing the auctions

We know the owner of a storage place and get to snoop through and buy them before he auctions them.

Got a few motorcycles and cars out of the deal.

Barry fan checking in.

As for getting involved in something like this - too much risk. One has to wonder how much filming goes into finding a "rewarding" locker and how much money is spent to get there. I imagine there are a lot more losses then the show would suggest.

I would have to admit, thus why I say you really have to have alot of money to even start doing something like this like Barry does. I would assume something like this is a hobby, not a job. hehe

I make less than 20k a year (not counting my GFs income of course) and... well, see above.

You can buy storage units for 50 bucks in smaller cities. The owners are just looking to have someone pay them to clean them to clean them out, rather than paying someone else to do the work. Most of the time they don't give a damn what is in them. You bring a truck, and find somewhere you can (legally) dump the garbage that you don't want.

Most storage units can be sorted and cleaned out by two people in a couple hours.

This sounds like something I might have to look into! But I guess you'd have to confirm they are doing that with "abandoned" lockers which are hard to come by...

sis you guys watch the round table episodes. Dave commented on his earnings and I snorted. Bary's annual from his sales are in the millions. He only sells the extremely high end goods.... That's why he only walks out with the one or two things he finds worth while.

By the orders of PlunderBunny: ☻/ /▌ / \ This is Bob, post him into your forum sig and help him conquer the forums.

Barry and his brother ran a wholesale produce business grossing 10-15M in sales for almost 30 years, so he certainly has the money to spare.
