...did he charge back that $1,000 like a douche or did he actualy pay the whole thing?

It seems he tried too charge back but shattered crystals didn't want to play along and he ended up paying for it all.

Would the fact that false evidence of the dreddit collapse was provided to claim the RL money constitute any kind of fraud though?

lol, no genuine question bro, one I don't know the answer to. After reading further I think the escrow was in game... so I think it’s probably cool, but just wondered where the line was out of personal curiosity...

Shattered Crystal, CCP and Deepspace Supply are all sell "non-refundable" game time cards, you can return physical cards, but not the codes based on the very nature that they cannot tell if they were used or not (well I'm sure they can- but its just covering their ass this way).
