They're all leaving ...

Anyway, no mercenaries, ever! Why should I do all the boring stuff to make ISK and then pay someone else to have fun.

Wormholers unite AGAINST Talocan Nuke ... oh sorry United.

I don't agree with you, but I respect your point of view: You can't defend against 30, so get out!

I'm living in wormholes since April 2011 and always in small groups like 3-5 people.

It's "more dangerous=more fun" and there is much more money for every single player.

Don't you think that living in a wormhole with 30 people is like living in high sec? Mass limitations and the temporary nature of wormholes makes sure that any attacker is limited in size, and you have a tower, which is a big edge.

I noticed that Talocan United is shrinking. They had more than 500 members 2 days ago. Now they are down to 459. Yippieh!

At one time I was a member of TALUN, and I enjoyed my time there very much. It's a place where people go to learn about wormhole life. To summarize it; its a place with high risk and rewards. I'm in total disbelief that anyone REQUIRED you to do anything Thrawn. In my experience, TALUNs one weakness is that they gave people too much choice and not enough rules. Corps still make all their own choices, and sounds like your spitting venom.

Let me start by saying that if anyone believes a 30 man fleet is a blob, you have failed at understanding what a blob is.

Secondly, TALUN has evicted people from whs that doen't belong there. What would those reasons be?

1. Poorly defended POS
2. Corp of limited size
3. You make stupid mistakes and draw attention to yourself.

I'm willing to bet if you weren't filling TALUN's tear jar you could reexamine the situation and find you likely fall into one of those categories. TALUN helps teach its members why these things are important by making an example out of the people who have overloaded the RISK side of the equation.

To those people who are going out into whs with a handful of guys...be prepared to be tested. You don't OWN the space. You temporary occupy it until you don't.

Man, you sound like "police department" ...

What are you going to tell me next? Tthat CCP is paying TALUN for evicting the weak from wormhole space, because sleepers are not bad enough ... hahahahaha

Listen, they are attacking the POSes of SMALL corporations. Skip the other 2 criteria, they are of no importance. You just put them there for the sake of your analysis, but they are not really relevant. Just look at their killboard. The biggest corporation they attacked was 24 members. <- the famous 30 man blob limit. You've got to win with 30!

I call it Blob, could call it Ben, it's still a 30 man fleet. I may not understand many things. Who cares.

I'm not whining. I only lost a battle. They lost a lot of time shooting my POS for hours, to find peanuts, because I removed everything, before they started. I took their time, their lives. Put online all the hardeners I had. They could have been doing something more fun, than staring at my POS for 10 hours.

I don't forgive.
I don't forget.
Expect me.

and have a laugh ... :)

But hey, I'm giving them free bumps ... I'm not going to do this any more.

Oh yes, Thrawn was asked to pay with real money part of Nathan's new hardware.

So all future TALUN allies, keep your credit cards ready.

LOL. You took their lives?! They should expect you? Very dramatic. I got chills.

Well, sounds like in the future you should "blob" them with 31 eh?

All kidding aside, you proved my point exactly. You were not capable to defend your home. Just because you plant a tower in a system, it's not yours to never be challenged again. This really isn't about TALUN at all. Its about you not recognizing risk vs reward.

Hopefully you come back to whs a little more informed next time. Thats what makes Eve great. You constantly learn lessons.

God i love these tears if only C&P was this active lately.... Lol

LOL They do not just attack small corps at all. but if your a small corp showing off a lot of assets that you can't protect and on a POS that looked like it was assembled by a drunken monkey high of licorice crumbs then i bloody hope me and my buddies beat TALUN to finding your hole.

To give away what little i know of Talun and these days it is little, they do everything for a training perspective and small corps are only on their radar for free loots. They have and do attack alliances and hard to take down POS's where they expect resistance from the locals and their friends. And some locals that have hired mercs to protect there homes have given Talun fights and resulted in forcing Talun from the hole.

And from what someone else pointed out they are far to relaxed on members and member corp participation expectations, and i imagine they could become a touch scarier if they became more forcefull with planned operations. But each to their own. This isn't a Talun is great thread....i still hope to come across a home of some select individuals in the alliance i do not like so much. Pirate

It is my understanding that the member fluctuations they have are due to them removing corps that are a liability to them. And trial corps not performing.

Pretty much. If you'll check our dotlan record, you'll see we go through regular cycles of expansion and contraction. Bringing on new corps, kicking old inactive ones, etc.

Insidious Design left Talun for reason. The reason is none of your business.

I hate shooting towers!

Ah the positive reinforcement of a job well done never ceases to impress my own personal sense of smug. On a serious note though Skunkh, your posts are more suited to C&P than a recruitment thread. If you want to attempt to Mar our good name then there are better ways of doing it. All your doing here is bringing attention and the past trolls to the surface.

As for thrawnm my beloved thrawn. You sir were removed from Talocan not because you didnt give money, but because you began attacking the Executors Real Life work ethic and his morality. For anyone reading this questioning the incident at hand, Nathan Jameson our executor has worked extremely hard to manage and run talocan for well over a year now. As a thank you for all his hard work I and a few of our long running members had wanted to give him a gift to say thank you.

This gift was already agreed to be a new computer system to replace his aging hardware. I thought it would be a nice gesture to allow anyone from TALUN to dontate so I posted in out to the masses of the alliance. It was not mandatory and the turn out of support from members has been extremely good. We raised somewhere in the range of $500 within the first 72 hours. At this stage thrawn got on his high horse and started attacking nathan saying he was a begger and a slacker.

Nathan never once asked for this and actually took some pursuasion in the leadership channels to even accept the gift. What thrawns reasonings were is beyond me but I won't accept anyone hurling abuse about a man who has worded selflessly for this alliance. Therefore Thrawn and his corp were removed.

If anyone feels that removing a corp for attacking the personal character of its executor for accepting a gift is wrong, then Talocan United is definately not for you. Oh and Talocan United has a very friendly stance on Ponies, anyone who has ever been in our comms and forums will understand the relevance!!!

Here's the brilliant leadership decisions made in that alliance. See this guy posting here from Crooks and Queens? Well, this corp was setup by alliance leadership to ATTACK ITS OWN MEMBERS. Nice eh? Get all the intel you need, and stab your own in the back.

Mm, yes. That would explain why a grand total of 4 of their 183 kills (2 percent) were made against members of Talocan United. Hell, you'd get better stats just picking another wormhole group at random.

Might want to craft a slightly more plausible lie next time. Or, at least, one I can't shoot down without even trying.

Thanks for the free bump though.

We try! Cool The drama usually gets punted outside the alliance pretty quickly though.

BTW your killboard's not looking too shabby. What was the story behind that carrier gank?

We forced them to self destruct. They couldn't fly it and they didn't want us to have it, so they forced it out with a moros and killed it, Agent managed to get on the mail. Then they self destructed the moros with about 10 other ships.

We have had three other caps self destruct on us. It's a growing trend!
