But go ahead, Blink membership spikes everytime you guys get wound up. But you have drawn me into this as far as you are going to this time.

Every non-point you raise this time will have been aswered before and a little research will help anyone understand Eve and Blink even better, so have at it, but I'm not doing your homework for you.

Oh and this time, how about just sticking to Casinos - One of the alt's rant last time about Ponzi schemes really had nothing to do with Blink, or "Bling" as the ranter called it.

And you do know that because Blink gets the usual cut from the click thru Plex purchases that so many corps get which is the way the server gets paid for I guess, the Blink web site is engaged in a financial venture, so hacking into it is not like breaking into your little brother"s web site about frogs. You might want to talk to a real lawyer about that. It pays to have a professional opinion, you know. Enjoy 300T!!! I will !!

I know someone will say 450 billion / 8 supers... These guys would have helped win a bet against that whiney twerp for twice as much and 8 frigs !

Editted in: It seems that while I am not willing to audit dozens of pages of transaction logs to determine how much it cost to win the bet, those who shovelled isk into my account have taken a closer look at their transaction logs and it seems their memories were larger than the real numbers... what can I say? There was testosteron and some Jack Daniels involved here. It seems the real number was closer to 130 billion isk, give or take a few billion that could have been for other reasons like who could break the other one's tank first. But they all agree it was well worth it and they would do it again even if it was twice as much and for only 8 rookie ships without the trit! But none of them got named "The Biggest Shill in Eve History".....

And the really good news is that isk was largely lifted out the corp wallets of bad CEOs who could'nt lead ants to sugar and can't figure out that half of their corp wallet is walking away thru "arranged ganks" with losses of nice stuff that gets sold by their corp members and their alts, and all kinds of other methods they wish they were smart enough to pull on regular players who are just trying to have fun. If only those fools knew....

I guess I posted my "premptive" rant out of the time zone of the tinfoil guys. My hate mail this morning is about the same as usual and no counterstrikes in here.

Regular Blinkers who may not have seen the forum wars over the last two celebrations may be a little confused by my post and I apologize. The Blink haters usually crawl out in the daylight only around the benchmark celebrations. But as I recall, when I first started playing in April, there were about 46K players and now, at this moment there are 51305 accounts. Of course, not all are active with some players only coming back for the celebrations and some players who have left Eve. Again, randomness. But that means they have grown about 10% just in the few months I've been around and the tinfoil guys have been attacking on the benchmarks. I seriously doubt my presence has been the draw, i think it has been the extra forum exposure of the haters. There is some randomness in the haters, some are died in the wool tinfoil hat people, others are sore losers who seem to think they should be able to draw a steady income based on how much they deposit and no matter badly they play, and then there are the dedicated forum spinners who seem to be associated with other sites and possibly with corps trying to branch out into more isk making activities who want to compete with blink.

The first thing I did after posting was to find Titanium Pig and warn him to get this sunglasses ready because, because I had put up a new wall of text and I didn't want him to suffer any eye damage. He was very gracious, but I was too late! He had already seen it!

In the blink chat, we've been discussing the several players who seem to be chasing that elusive first promo win. I'm pulling for you guys to get your first win and to get a good one when you do. Ii think my first one came around 300 promos, but now I am at 8 for 1706. It seems like about 1 in 200 has been the average when a lot of ppl report their promo win history in the chat. So maybe that means the farther you are without a win, the more wins you might get in a short time, as the theory of regression toward the mean kicks in. Maybe by the end of the 300T celebration, you will have caught up and snagged some really nice ones and a few which randomly double!! A lot of players are pulling for other players who are over 300 promos without a win. And then we run into the guys who have gotten 3 in a day and none since! That is the nature of Randomness!

The Random.org site where blink gets their winning numbers is an interesting place, at least for a old stats guy like myself. Most might see it as a monument to boredom, but it is very interesting to me. They supply random numbers to hundreds of places all over the world including some government run lotteries, and many harried stats professors who are writing problems and exams. I can relate to that last group...

I am wishing you the best of luck, because even with all the stats I run in an attempt to enhance my luck, I know it is about 99.9999% luck and a teensy weensy bit of skill at selecting numbers. But numbers are one of my many hobbies, so I'm having fun playing and getting ready to play.

I hope everyone who plays enjoys themselves and I hope a good number get RICH!!!

My wife and I send our best energy and condolences to Somer and her family during this trying time following the death of a family member. I hope she gets back in time to have her spirits lifted by the celebration. If not, she will be missed.

I think I'm going to go to my little rny range out back and crank off a couple of boxes of shells at skeet, and the play on the computer for a while - good luck ALL!

Ok

I will add my tuppence..

Firstly i worked for blink for only a shortish amount of time and this was in the early days when somer first opened up the "pay to work for blink".
Now if you read back (quite a while i will add) you will see that someone once had the temerity to call me a bot because i played blink solidly for a long long long time just on the same number (number 4 btw) and because of my playstyle i had to be a bot and worked for blink.
Now from what i saw in terms of deposits not one was from a possible shill, of course they could well be sent by an alt (that is a possible truth) but some of the guys who play the multiple tickets where real players chatting in the channel and this was long time before replacement started his crusade. And i can assure you that out of everyone one of them big players i only see 1 player who is still playing, surely having a shill would mean you keep said shill

My odds were 1:8 (i bought 1 on the 8s and 2 on the 16s) and my win ratio was 12.85% just slightly above the expected win ratio, this volume was taken from about 25000 blinks, at one time i was 3rd on the all time played list. so this average win ratio is a VERY good speciman.

Nowadays i have no allegiance to Blink, the fact was i was banned for robbing them of a few bill, not much and certainly no-where near what i lost.. (maybe in region of 80bill lost) but simple fact is i knew i was gambling, and that house would always win.... But unlike most of the whingers in this post i can afford to lose, its like pvp you know.. dont fly a shiny machariel if you only have 32isk in your wallet... **** of back to the frigates..

As i said i couldn't care less if there is/was a shill, but my PERSONAL opinion and experience (remember worked for them) is that isn't the case, just because some people have high win ratio's dont mean ****.... unless you can track every ticket they bought and confirm that they won 70% over 10,000 blinks with 1 ticket, then it dont mean ****..... but regardless of my ban etc, i can just say i enjoyed playing blink, and respect somer & andrev for the work they have put in, coming up with the right idea and right time. Simple fact is how many attempts by other players have been made at copying blink but fail within first month.... (ive lost count)

So good luck andrev/somer and rest of the crew, and maybe one day you'll get my 4bill back lmfao :)) (honest)

So fly safe and remember my foxy cubs GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY....

Still the only person to offer corp creation free of charge. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=35634#post35634 Created over 200 was 3rd on the all time corporation job history on eve-board. This service is in stasis due to personal game time...

There's your problem (and most of these people complaining or whining) - you look at Blink as a way to make billions and billions of isk.

Many of us look at Blink has a form of entertainment. We all know the risk when we blink.

We all take risk. So keep calling foul, shill, whatever you want. Somer has never done me wrong, I have always gotten what I wanted. You win some, you lose some. It's all in the attitude.

1.08b ISK Deposited / 13.85% Win Ratio
3.84b Value of Blinks Won
1.76b Winnings Transformed to Blink Credit
0.00 Winnings Transformed to ISK (thats right - zero isk)

Promo Blinks Played 342 - Promo Blinks Won 2 (guess I am just lucky - heard others say they got their first one after 1k promos or more)

You go into Blink expecting you win billions and billions of isk, you gonna leave angry and without isk. You go in looking for fun, friends, and excitement, you will not leave disappointed.

Let's be honest here. You don't go in look for friends fun an excitement, you go in to win ships and make isk. There's no social network on Blink. Its just buying a ticket and spending isk. You can go intot he Blink channel, but that doesn't require you to be on Blink either.

It's not a social netowkr, it's a lottery, and claiming that one would better enjoy their Blink experience by going in witht the right attitude is bull.

And as a side note - huge dissapointment, this 300T celebration. So basicalyl, everyone spends the same amount and no one is even garaunteed more prizes, it's the same chance of winning as always, and you may get anywhere between 5m to 10 mil unwrapping your gift. If you're lucky enough to win with the usual risk, you may even get a double prize.

So basically, a token of about 5 mil and no higher chances of winning, to extra tokens, no extra promos.
Whatever. Dissapointed.

Blink (and gambling) is first and foremost, a form of light entertainment. If you realise early on that the ISK you're spending is what you pay for that entertainment, then you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Best wishes to SOMER.

P.S. Why don't I get to win Titan BPOs?

Wow - I am so glad I don't have to wake up tomorrow and be you for a whole day! Lots of ppl hang out in the Somer Chat while doing missions, mining, roaming null, wandering in WHs and chatting from a phone while doing 70mph on Hwy 81 (someone else was driving the car while Somer checked in to chat earlier today) - but I guess you would know that if you have ever spent any time on the chat and read the comments that ppl make all day and night. There are some slow times, so I will cut you a little slack on that - but painting such a diverse population with such a broad brush is not "being honest here". Maybe if you had said YOU ( meaing you personally) "don't go in looking for friends, fun and excitement" ( sorry, I corrected your mistakes - feel free to do the same if I make any)) then it would have made perfect sense based on your other comments.

Odette Chaeta posted what is below in a second post. - not enough of a forum rat to know now to do the quotey thing from two posts... If I only had hair!!!

And me - Jusfooling Around responds:

Sorry you were disappointed, but my guess is that happens to you a lot.

Lesse.... "Guaranteed" not usually a word associated with gambling.

"same chance of winning as always" - ok, that is a good thing

"5m to 10mil unwrapping your gifr" You really got that one wrong, potentially by hundreds of millions - its probably that "guarantee mindset thing, again.

"Double Prizes" WOW! I just sat there for a while and kept hitting f5 to refresh the list of the last ten winners and rarely did the new ten winners did not show up with one or two showing the blue banner behind their names indicating they got a double on a Rorq or maybe a Claw, or then it was a Moros, and then a Hawk. I've even pulled down several doubles and haven't played that much.

"no extra promos" errrg errrg - wrong again! SO many more promos - I don't have the number, I just know how much more often I'm seeing promos. - and I guess you missed the whole string of Estamel's best stuff that went for a one token each.

It is a casino and casinos work on randomness - they don't post a schedule of when they will have the way upgraded promos happening throughout the week - they just pop up! They have scheduled the really over the top Bonk and the five really over the top daily mini-bonk's drawings to happen just before the final prize drawing for 250 billion ISK. if you are interested - you can look it up.

And one last thing. if you enter the bonk and each mini-bonk, you will get an achievement, that I think will pay 30 mill as the last one was 25 mill and the one b4 that was 20 mill. You can enter the bonk for 500k and have a chance (tho it might be a small one with only a single ticket, but only a single ticket will win) these prizes:

Titan Blueprint
100 PLEX
Utu with CCP Explorer's corpse in cargo
Kernite Mining Crystal II BPO
Jaspet Mining Crystal II BPO
Energized Explosive Membrane II BPO
Energized Kinetic Membrane II BPO
Heavy Beam Laser II BPO

and the mini-bonks are awesome, too!! I don't remember what the 4 or 5 things were on the ones already, but today's is for :

Carrier Blueprint Set 5
0d 11h 52m Remaining
One of each of the four carrier blueprint originals. Build, copy, or sell.

300T Bonus Minibonk! We'll draw two winners for each minibonk.

oh yeah, that last line - they are drawing TWO winners for each mini-bonk this week!

I'm not disappointed! I'm already ahead - cashed out my original deposit, taken out two plexes a mach (which was a double) and a nightmare and have plenty left to play with!! Even if I don't win any of the big prizes, because it is a social network - I'll be happy for the ones who do win. I learned that is something called good sportsmanship. You might want want to look into that, too. But I think you will just spend your life walking around with a sad face because you can't find anything except your car battery having a real guarantee. ( pssst - only one "a" in that word and the "u" needs to be moved...)

I've been trying to make sense of your comment within the context of Blink and Eve, to understand what anyone's "real Eve Stats" would mean to what they bet on in Blink. I'm finally settled on the only thing that seems to connect the two is your mistaken belief Blink players not trained to fly capital ships yet bet on them and win is an indication of shill activity. Did I get that right?

When your statement is attempted to be understood by anyone who knows anything about blink, it makes no sense.

I am guessing that you don't know the rules of the game which are easily seen and written even so one with out hair can understand them. You see, anything one wins can be redeemed for blink credit, redeemed for ISK or taken possession of and sold - none of which requires any specific training or "real Eve Stats".

Perhaps before you comment on something, you should investigate it for yourself, instead of just taking sound bites off of someone else's forum. But then, speaking on things about which you may know could possibly narrow the field of discussion for you by quite a bit. You have some funny smoke coming out of your room mates transom or something? I suggest you stick to incursions, where you have had limited, yet stormy success.

lol. Fun stuff, I can barely afford to play the game, much less Blink, but it's a grand game nonetheless.
