We've been busy, 400 ships destroyed by our instructors and students so far this month. It's kind of weird watching major alliances flying 40 man Armor HAC fleets with Archons for Logi, but we're getting used to that.

And of course, we just get out of the way. Really guys? That's a wee bit much for a handful of frigates and assault frigs with EWAR support.

We've learned to that it's best to choose your fight and try not to let it choose you. Big smile

i am tempted..

but let me ask you, is the space where you are based sort of safe..ish? do you have wars?

i got once invited into a null sec corp and no matter where i was, i got shot at instantly. -starting already in high sec-
i think i died about 6-8 times just trying to reach them and i died another 10 times trying to leave their headquarters.
being at war with apparently half of new eden doesnt help..

are you different?

Terribly sorry to have missed this.

We live in Curse, which is a crossroads to null regions in the south. It's dangerous space, but from our perspective, it's pretty safe, mainly because we train to survive out here.

OUCH gets war-decd every so often. But we live mainly in null, so war-decs are more of an inconvenience than a hazard.

Yes, we're different. Join the OUCH-UNI channel in game and find out.

Curse is as exciting as expected, with folks looking for opportunities in the south. We've been testing out a new fleet composition, in between our usual training fleets and lecture cycle.

Lots of exciting changes on the horizon, new SOV mechanics are gonna flip people on their heads.

We'll probably just keep doing what we're doing though. Training new people to live in Curse is challenging enough. Cool

Nulsec jumps used to be purely frightening. Lacking eyes in the destination system, a pilot jumps into an unknown situation. A smart pilot uses the tools available to get an idea as to what might be on the other side, but until the jump is made, he/she can't be sure what truely awaits them. Will it be into empty space? Is a cloaked interdictor laying in wait, or possibly a 20 man gate camp waiting to pounce?

Since joining OUCH, these jumps are no longer frightening; instead, they provide a big adrenaline rush. For me, the actual jump into the unknown situation, poses the greatest risk when navigating nul-sec. If I get away from the gate safely, then I'm in control of the situation. If I get caught after getting away from the gate, I most likely screwed up.

OUCH gives you the knowledge and skills to recognize traps, negate risks, and escape bad situations. There is always an element of risk, always a chance that I will be caught, but that is the part that makes this game so much fun. If there were no risk, EVE would become just another boring MMO.

The good news, OUCH provides this knowledge at no charge, and OUCH accepts all applicants. OUCH provides an instructor led training program that teaches pilots to navigate safely and introduces pilots to PvP. If such knowledge interests you, apply today!
