A former member of Eve University and former OUCH student has posted an unsolicited assessment of the OUCH training program over in the Eve Uni Work Fair forum. It's an honest and insightful assessment. Well worth a read.

Mid sept of 2012... I had just gotten my email From O.U.C.H. Graduation after having completed all requirements. I had been part of many gate kills some we shouldn't have.. also lost a couple ships on the Gate... did a couple roams with Sygma... those ended Badly.

I was walking down the street, I went to cross the road at the crosswalk. I got hit in the middle of the crosswalk by a drunk driver.. needless to say, I been awhile getting back into shape.... looking to maybe... if allowed to join back into O.U.C.H. for another go around.... after all I have been outta everything for a good bit.

Togg, I remember you and think I even taught one of your classes. Sorry to hear about your accident. You were dropped from corp due to inactivity. You are free to re-apply and can go back through again if you'd like. We'd be glad to have you back.

If you dont want to "grab a rifter " and die in ball of fire when ever you enter lower security systems, visit us and we will give our best to help you to survive more in your attempts of making new adventures.

It is always scary first time ,we will try to shake that fear off and make you see null sec as natural part of your game.

Every student should take something away from OUCH training. Some will take more, some less, depending on the students' previous experience, and the amount of effort put into the program. We realize that our program is not ideal for everyone, but those who complete the training become better pilots as a result.

OUCH is a free program. The only cost to the student is an investment of their time. OUCH instructors volunteer their playtime to lead classes, be available in TS for questions, and introduce students to nulsec PvP. We do so because we want to see each student succeed and get more enjoyment from this great game. Join us.

Bored with mining, tired of repeating the same old missions? Then spice up your gameplay and generate some excitement; test the waters in nulsec. Nothing like having a dozen hostiles chasing you to generate some adrenaline. Enjoy the satisfaction of eluding your pursuers while avoiding traps: bubbles, gate camps, etc.

Let OUCH show that a new, or minimally skilled, pliot can navigate null with less risk, and contribute to a pvp fleet while flying only a T1 firgate.

OUCH offers:

Classes taught in the 'relative' safety of hi-sec.
Active TS, students and instructors online to answer questions.
No cost to the student; OUCH accepts everyone; new and old, no interviews, and no API checks.
Hands-on, live-fire experience flying a tackler role in our PvP fleets.

Only a T1, student fit , frigate and some of your gametime is required.

Join our ingame channel OUCH-UNI for more info, or simply apply.

Having been through the training and graduated from OUCH Big smile.

I can honestly say this is a great program for those wishing to learn to PVP. Classes are excellent and very informative, as are the Instructors that teach them.

Nothing was too much trouble for them if you had any questions you only had to ask.

Was an absolute pleasure to fly with this corp that taught me how to survive and fight. It has increased my knowledge, given me the confidence and most importantly, increased my enjoyment of Eve substantially.

Learn to fly dangerous and have fun, You won't regret it.

All the best OUCHies

What I like the most ,is moment when our students are first time with us taking heat.

After few fights you see how recently peaceful miner from high sec ,starting to have lust for more blood."This is fun" and things like that ,make you happy.Even more if you were student not long time ago,and your sharing what you learned is making more ppl involved in null sec and pvp in general.

There was this epic 4000 man fight in Fountain last weekend. It occurred to me that it takes a frig more than 40 seconds to go to warp in 10 percent TiDi.

Not for me. Small gang pvp is where it's at. Big smile

If you're interested in getting the basic skills that you need for flying with gangs that don't blot out the sun, OUCH is a good place to start.

P I am hoping to start training soon. I have been reading all the info and it alone is very informative. I really like the way they suggest you set up your space view.

I'm thrilled to be a member of OUCH. Although real life has put a dent in my playtime, I'm always excited to login and join in corp activities as I have time. I learned a lot as a student and continue to learn much more as a member. Given the rate at which CCP expands and tweaks Eve, the need for continued learning is a given.

Last night I had the opportunity to audit Modules 6 and 7 with one of our senior OPs members. Thanks Ze! I will be teaching these modules in the near future and wanted to see how another instructor presents the material. I view teaching as another extension of my continuing Eve education. Our team has a great deal of collective experience, so there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from in OUCH. Plus, I still enjoy sitting in our classes. Experiencing students' excitement and enthusiasm first hand is contagious. During classes I'm constantly reminded of the excitement, awe, and sometimes frustration, I felt when I began playing Eve years ago.

I'm obviously biased but I strongly believe OUCH has the best program available to introduce any interested pilot to the fun of navigating and fighting in nulsec. If this sounds interesting to you, join us!

We've been having a blast flying in Curse, showing new players how to avoid becoming a statistic on someone else's killboard. Our students quickly learn that preparation and situational awareness go a long way to surviving in null sec. Those null sec skills apply in low sec and high sec too.

Lots of corps will tell you that the advantage of learning with them is you learning by doing: they aren't going to bore you with lectures. They'll bring you out to null in the safety of a 5 to 20 man fleet and leave you to your own devices. Unfortunately, outside of the safety of the fleet, you can find yourself all alone trying to figure out how to get home safely.

OUCH teaches a formal program: we lecture, and we teach practical excersises for you to get a greater understanding of the skill set we are trying to pass along to you. Only then do we send you into null sec for you to hone those skills.

Use those skills to fly alone in the depths of null sec space. You won't need the safety in numbers that larger corps use to travel in null.

Now, trial and error works, but it's a much longer road than actively being trained, mentored and coached through our program.

Check us out. Smile

Back on a new character after a long absence.
Of course went back to OUCH because of the instructors. They are the best.
They are still doing what they do, just doing it better then ever.

OUCH teaches Null Sec survival and PvP and they do it for free and they do it right.

RL finally allowed a chance to login and join a fleet. I wasn't expecting much for a Monday night, but wound up in a good fleet brawl and engaged in a couple fights on the bubble. We simply have a great group of students/staff, exceptional fleet commanders, and great allies. It was another fun time out 'on the bubble' last night. If you're interested in exploring null, join us and learn how to survive and fight.

After a couple years of sitting in hi-sec running missions i was getting quite bored with EVE as a game, I had seen this OUCH recruitment thread before and after a bit of research i decided to try see what they had to offer.

So just over a month spent in OUCH as a student and i'm loving it. Yes they have rules to follow but they are there so you don't go charging into null and loose everything you have. You fly T1 frigs with T1 fittings and after some basic training you can go into null and be part of a few gate camps.

OUCH instructors give their time freely to help train you up and help you understand what null is like and how to get more out of EVE,
so if you are find yourself not bothering logging on to run your level 4's or your new to EVE then i would recommend giving OUCH's training course a go.

If your're considering joining OUCH, this weekend 9/20-9/22 would be a great time to start. We're offering Modules 1-3 on Saturday (required for modules 4-5) and modules 4-5 on Sunday. If you have some free time, you can knock out over half of our training modules in one weekend. Completion of Modules 1-5 allows you to enter Nul, begin making bookmarks, and attempt the survival run.

Join us, kill more and die less! (Meet some great people and have some fun to boot.)

L.S.

There's no need to fear the dark voids of EVE.
Fear is mostly just lack of knowledge.
OUCH has proven to illuminate the path for many pilots.
