I'm in my car on Sunday and my phone pings: someone's sent me a text.
Quote:
Yeah, kicking ass. Lost a Manti and a few students. Other than that, we are good. Up by like 500 mil right now even after losses.

There's only one reply to that:

Cool. Smile

The classes and cadre are absolutly great. Classes are informative and insightful, instructors take their time to address any and all questions.

My favorite OUCH activity thus far is "Storytime with Bren".

If you have ever thought about joining a training corp, you can't go wrong with these guys.

These guys really seem to have it pitched right. The modules are really good, concise and very informative. I've been playing Eve since 2003 and I've learned quite a lot I've missed on the way.

The other thing I like is that you're expected to get on with things (at your own pace) no ones breathing down you neck but there's always friendly advice there if you need it.

If you've wanted to try nullsec but didn't know where to start then join OUCH and take your first steps

So you're still at the gates leading to null or lowsec, thinking "should i jump or should i not?"

Stop thinking, join OUCH and we'll show you that there's nothing to be affraid of on the other side of those gates.
It's just the opposite, it's FUN ! :)

I like to point out in response to Andski's "Building a Newbie Program" (excellent post btw), there's also a third party option.

Have your new recruits trained by corporations that are well known for doing this.
OUCH is a good example of a dedicated 0 sec space training corporation.

So when they return they obviously dont have a heap of skill points but they are familiar with stuff like setting up overview, bookmarking, tackling, scouting and fleet comms.

Saving your corporation/alliance a lot of time to teach them pvp more in depth in relation to your desired fleet composition.

Let OUCH be you third party training corporation.

High sec is a scary place.

Join OUCH and move to a much more predictable null sec space :)

For the past two years, the members of OUCH have been working toward the establishing the Open University of Celestial Hardship as an Eve Institution. It's a work still in progress, but we've come to believe that our supportive small core membership, our focused purpose, and our slow organic growth is the reason why we're still doing what we're doing: providing quality null sec survival and basic PvP training, at little to no cost to the student.

Check us out. Cool

Larger roaming fleets tend to send a "weaker" ship (like vagabonds, drakes, canes,...) ahead, to lure us into a fight we can not possibly win.

Do you want to see how that bait is killed, while the rest of the fleet stares in amazement and frustration, and at the same time avoid and survive engagement with overwhelming blob of battleships.

Join OUCH, we'll teach you :)

I left OUCH 6 mnth ago, since then i've involved in major wars, blob, reds, neut, blues, pods, null sec politics and all the hassle of living in null. Everything are not the same like before, except one : I still made my TAC bookmark the way NatashaK teach me 6 month ago. It makes me live more then i die. So OUCH thanks, my EvE life is much more fun this way :)
