A nice attempt at Goonswarm fanfiction but a little too much Mary Sue for my tastes. As long as it doesn't get into Mittani/DBRB slashfic I encourage you to continue posting your work.

Confiming we have all been banned as the reason to our slacking off and not because the bulk of our targets have been banned.

So let me set the facts straight.

Goonswarm finds another way to manipulate the market by pro-activly setting forth in public which regions they are going to kill ice-miners as much as possible.
Result: Prices for certain ice types go up and subsequentially their own bo... uhm sorry, ice mining players benefit from said price increase.
System works rather well so they extend it by trying to get more people involved, the ones outside Goonswarm not knowing they are merely doing Goonswarms handywork in providing them a better income, and wrap it up then within the propoganda of a war against bots.

Meanwhile in Deklein the bo... sorry once again, the ice mining players (we all know how much certain people in Goonswarm love to mine ice activly) happily mine along.

The community not realising the plan behind it all falls over eachother in utter admiration without realising they are being manipulated and / or even used to benefit the Goonswarm.
The ones crying about the whole thing refuse to gather up and pick up their pitchforks and torches to get rid of the menace for various reasons.

Fun fact. The price of Ice did not rise very far untill the EVEnews24 report that said go buy ice while its cheap.

That's quite a leap, going from Goons don't do CCP's policing for them or report other Goons, to Goons are all involved in some bot conspiracy. Hmm, all those botter bannings, and yet NPC kills in Deklein systems haven't really dropped. Is CCP complicit in Goons' botting, or was there just not really any botting to begin with? Yes, Mr. Marzetti, I was definitely suggesting that Goons do widescale bot mining. Well actually, I was just raising the topic, since there have been a lot of rumors and accusations about that. Now that we have some responses back, I'm not convinced that Goons are big time botters. Maybe didn't report a Goon botter or two, but that's different than running a full-scale botting operation. Thanks for the responses.
