No. Sisters won't give you anything (or maybe something, but not a launcher and/or probes) for completeing the Epic Arc. You can buy those items in their LP Store, but you will need Loyalty Points from other missions for Sisters of EVE, because you will not get any from doing Epic Arc missions.

You can't buy the launcher off marker; either, as stated above, in Sisters' LP Stores or in contracts. They sell for 35-40 in contracts.

Are the faction probes any good?

Yes, Sisters probes are very much worth it. It's only 2-3M for a set of them and they add 10% strength (RSS probes really aren't worth it so much though, since they're more like 8M a pop IIRC and are only a tiny bit better than Sisters ones).

You don't need them for normal exploration, they're useful to ppl who have isk to burn and just want things to be a tad easier, no more but it's not like "if you do exploration, you're an idiot if you don't have them", not at all. Would you go into higher class wormholes or similar stuff then they are very handy but they're not at all needed for normal probing.

For the Sisters probes atleast, they really are cheap enough that there's no reason at all not to have a set on your exploring ship. They really do help a lot. The Sisters launchers, less so, but a set of Sisters probes is so cheap that it really is pretty stupid not to have a few of them if you're exploring much at all (for people just trying it out to see if they want to even start exploring, T1 probes are fine, but anyone trying to make ISK exploring should have Sisters probes at the very least).

You can do exploration in high sec with nothing but astrometrics 1 and a non-bonused probing ship, so you don't NEED that stuff at all. Sure it might make some things a bit easier, if you're lucky it might save you one "zoom in" with the probes but that's it. In and of itself a bit more probe strength isn't the problem at all for starting players, what they want is astrometric pinpointing to make probing less annoying.

If you go high class WH hunting or in 0.0 looking for the good stuff then sure you'd have a point but there's no reason to state on the newbie forum that you "need" them, especially not as newbies might not find them to be 'cheap at all and perhaps lose some.
