Only if you worry about what is said. The Goons as an entity never struck me as being overly sensitive. Well, perhaps Weaslior (Did I spell that right) His last thread was damn near hysterically funny. God emperor indeed.

Oh no, it was just about you burning.

I had entirely forgotten that Bat County had decided to go and gank (by now 600) Exhumers to the Mittani. I was corrected by someone earlier who reminded me that, even in war, ganking alts can be used.

Especially since we now have TiDi, am I right? Nothing like 10% TiDi to (give you time to?) mess with a miner's ISK PER HOUR.

We even got CCP to help my slowing down time instead of just crashing the servers. We're doing real swell.

Greetings from Bat Country.

My aploogies for being late but even we must slumber as destroying the hopes and dreams of others can be taxing. I would just like to take the time to say that we hear your lamenting over the loss of your ice chariots of the sky and the resulting sky rocketing of such things as ice blocks and have this to say to comfort you in this time of hardship. Yes we have become very rich in the last 24 hours as the sap suckers of jita hoover up ice in the expectation of hugh profits as we wage our war upon the Frost Giants.

Wouldn't it be unfortunate if we stopped now and all of these pro market traders lost their billions? We wouldn't do that, would we?

We have had a grand old time celebrating democracy in the run up to the CSM elections, which by the way, matter and you should be voting for the Dear Leader so that he may continue his quest to make EVE a better place for all.

As always, if you are accidently caught up in our war then you can fill out this form as well as contacting me for our miner protection program which for a nominal fee will get you put onto a list of the forgiven and allow you to take full advantage of these sky high prices.

I am sure the tears of the shortsighted that did not stock up on Nitrogen Isotopes will fuel you for quite some time.

Caldari fuel blocks are currently selling for 23K in Jita.
Granted, this is mostly due to market manipulation today, but nonetheless, current costs to run a large Caldari POS now stand at 664M/month using that 23K/fuel block price.

It does not concern me much, since I stocked up to establish a buffer.
But I am sure there are many budding industrialists you are ruining.

Well played.

I just wish I could understand what kind of mind Goon leadership must have to derive enjoyment in destroying the enjoyment for many others in this game.

Actually, it is pretty clear. Goon leadership are sociopaths.
It really does not matter that "Eve is just a game, and it is a sandbox".

Though it is quite impossible to do, it would be extremely interesting to have professional clinical psychologists study Goon leaders in and out of game, and compare their real world lifestyle with that of their Eve game style.

I personally believe that the correlation would be extremely high.

You give these people way too much credit, really. They're a group of arse holes who follow a bigger arse hole and do things to **** people off. They do it in games because it's the only place they have any influence or confidence. In real life they're just kids in adult bodies. If they attempted any of the stuff they do in games they'd be smacked down so hard they wouldn't know what hit them. You don't have to play this game - there are millions of other games to play. If they ruin it for you just find another.

I doubt it - I really couldn't care less. Like, really. Even if they're all the exact opposite of what I said, I just don't care. It's a game, and getting yourself worked up over groups of infantile adults like that is folly.

Given that they plan on completely controlling the next CSM, I recognize that this current asshattery is child's play compared to what they will have in store once they have total control of CCP's ear.

Last I counted there is a grand total of one GSF member (The Mittani) running for CSM. I don't think there is even another CFC member running. How are Goons going to control the CSM with one member?

Last I saw there were 2 goons running, though one was "not endorsed by goons'.
Plus, it is quite simple, even expected, to have alt's of goon's running.

There was a blog a few months ago, which I cannot find right now, that did an analysis on how many votes were needed to win a seat on the last CSM. It was something like 1300-1500 votes to get elected last time.
It is a pretty simple thing for goons, who have well in excess of 6000 votes available within their mains and alts (2000 in goonswarm, plus the alt on those accounts, plus who knows how many other non-goon affiliated alt accounts), to split their votes to elect a lot of people to the CSM.

Mittani may be an evil jerk, but he is far from stupid.
He can easily have a strawmen/puppets running as a rep for high sec interests, another for wormhole interests, a few apparently non-goon related people running as well.

All can be elected and then "Surprise, we all are goons!"
The smart play of course is to keep that fact under tight wraps even after the election.
That NDA is a wonderful tool to muzzle anyone from stating precisely what interests were represented by whom.

Now, I do believe that Kelduum from Eve UNI will get in, since he also has a large potential voting bloc there.
But rest assured, when the voting is done, the scaled down CSM (was 7 reps + 7 alternates, now 5+5) will be goon-dominated.

Man I didnt realise it went this deep! Ill go get my tinfoil hat, he'll never get his spy rays through that and read my brain. I have some inside info too guys, now Im not saying The Mittani is an alien, but he's an alien.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

To be honest, as much as I loathe the goons for bringing blob warfare to light, I can only commend them for how they interact with the game.

Sure you think them doing their ice interdictions is a pain in the bumcheeks, but it's a player driven event altering the shape of the economy and it's good that someone is actually stirring things up!

Without the Goons, or at least someone stirring things up, the game would go rather stale. Which is a bad thing.

So they managed to hike the price right up, I wonder if they have a huge stock pile of the stuff that they're now making lots of money off.

Much as I normally detest goons--for vastly different reasons--This. So very, very, much this.

Stop choosing to be victims, it is so. Freaking. Repulsive!

You always have a choice in EVE, and in this universe choosing victim-hood will ensure victimisation:

Working as intended, nothing more to see ITT, mods, please lock.

They can't because if they would, they would not be able to form a strong and fairly social group. If you want to understand why they do what they do have a read here.

It should be pointed out that 'Goons' are not doing ice interdiction again. We did that already. There was one corp that was bored and so they killed a bunch of miners all over the place. Mainly close to Jita. I don't know if you've seen their killboard, but they stopped awhile ago.

Now, you just have a bunch of market people who bought up a buttload of stock in this supposed spike. But you want the surest sign that this is fake? I don't hold any Isotopes. I didn't buy or sell any in the past couple weeks.

If we were interdicting, I'm sure I would be making trades. but I'm not. But I'm guessing certain people who run evenews24 bought a LOT before they published their story. Because last time, EN24 sandbagged for a full week after we started the blocade, maybe because they wanted their own oxygen isotopes.

Anyway, keep telling yourself 'oh those damn goonies' when it is actually something completely different this time around.

BTW, if you hold topes, I would recommend selling quickly as the price bottoms out.

They ruined the game for many and eventually the server became a ghost town. Let's hope that doesn't happen in Eve. Bear

Odds are, they were probably another branch of SA. Goons have a history of hilarious hijinks that ruin peoples days.

Ever hear the story of "Goonsquad" in WoW? Held a flight master hostage for several hours and attempted to kill a GM.They demanded several thousand gold in ransom from the entire server.

@ op

Are the Goons breaking any rules by doing what they're doing? If so petition it.

If not, then find an ingame way to deal with it.

The market is player controlled for the most part, so you can't complain when players have an effect on the market.
