1) No, I really don't want to be distracted by clicky games while keeping a eye out for gankers. That and probably isn't any way to set it up that can't be defeated by bot programmers (visual cues are probably the easiest to program, scaling up to intercepting data packets)

2) Yes, drone poo needs to be removed, as well as all other means of raw material production that doesn't evolve piloted ships (PI and moon mining) . I thought it was funny when making a new alt the other week, during tutorial missions, Aura states, in big red letters "MINING IS THE BACKBONE OF EVE".

3) I already do, Part of the reason I started playing EVE was the complexity of the Industrial and Economics of the game I haven't seen anywhere else.

I cant fault any of this
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

Don't you just hate posts with intros that are no more than disclaimers, trumpeting the intelligence and broad insight of the poster who then posts a cow pie? If yes, type YES. If NO, get a lobotomy.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I dont mine, but I think thats mainly due to the lack of oppurtunity regarding mining.

In saying that, I mean its tedious in high sec, and only used as a medium by which people can get almost risk free isk (with minimal returns), but as you have said, its the easiest thing to do in game and allows you to do other things in the meantime.

Lowsec/Nullsec/WH mining should be explored IMO. -Exhumers are vulnerable machines, to try and encourage a fleet co-operation in mining (where protection fleets are in place). This only seems to work on the smaller levels (below 10 players; 5 or so making up the protection fleet), and ofc, there are more profitable things out there, and it remains as uninteresting as highsec mining, where the protectors are typically itching for a fight.

I dont think the problem lays with the ore's or the mechanics behind mining and the economy it represents, more, the equipment open to a miner. A T3 mining vessel would be an incredible thing to see ingame and allow for "ninja mining" - jumping in and out of hostile space to rinse as many valuable ores as possible. Modules too, like 'mining smartbombs' (mine all rocks in an area of effect) etc etc.

Add this, and increase the 'oppurtunity' in mining and you are on to a winner; Make belts move around the bodies they orbit (so they dont appear on the overview; you need to find them), this will remove the lax miners and perhaps even the botters, and put power back into the players who actually want to and enjoy running mining ops.
Additionally, as there are combat sites in high sec, introduce a few mid-high value ore belts in these (again you have to find these), gaurded by rats).

Just my humble and irrelevent 2c
