Gm correspondence...

Might want to edit your post. You aren't allowed to post private conversations with GMs on the forums.

Yes, even though posting the convo is the only thing that shows that CCP finally did something and exactly what it was. Love it that CCP gets to hide all the dirty laundry and conversely can't get any credit either.

So 3 of us has been scammed by the same guy now on the character bazaar and ccp has yet to reply or do anything about it ~

WTH is going on CCP

Lets blow up this thread

I am sorry but what are they supposed to do about it. You are allowed to Scam and Sell Characters.

Did this particular Scam break the EULA?

Character scams are NOT allowed and we come down very hard on those who try it. The best way to deal with this is to simply report it to us and we will investigate the matter. However, these investigations may take a long time as often the people who scam with character sales are involved in a lot more EULA breaches and they can be RMT or hackers on top of it. When that is te case we must tread very carefully to make sure we get all the loose and that simply takes time.

And what about my isk in the meantime as like i have said above thumper is a sold character and obviously i now cant transfer till i get my isk back. I now feel sorry for the person that has purchased thumper as they have paid and not got the char as of yet.

So are you still scamming your OWN buyer? Or have you transferred now?

bet nothing happens to the account even tho it probs is the original owner but who am i to judge right

The GMs investigated; you do not have the same ability. So how can you say it is the original owner when you have none of the information? You got your ISK back; there is no need to punish a hacked account owner for that.

As Ranger1 said; you're looking for "Thank you".

The ignorance in this thread about why it takes the GM "a while" is enormous.

Nobody knows really what it is, hence everybody knows better what they should do.

What does that matter? You clearly don't get the point. The BUYER is out his ISK and has no recourse. CCP can see through their logs if ISK traded hands and can tie that to a sale on the bazaar. If they see that and the character wasn't moved from one account to the other, then that is all they need to see in order to assist the BUYER. The BUYER should get his ISK back immediately and CCP can take all the time they wish to look into the SELLER.

Innocent until proven guilty, even if you're screaming scam. For all CCP know you could have recieved the char and are now trying to get your isk back.

Also your broken TV analogy is fail because this is more like you calling the store and saying your TV is broken and demanding for a full refund without bringing the TV to the store to prove that its actually broken.

Except that takes approximately 5 seconds to check...............

This could be avoided if I was allowed to secure character transfers Lol

But really, the best way imo would be CCP impementing a feature (in account management perhaps?) where;

Seller specify price and who the ISK should be released to (on same account) - press Confirm
Buyer has amount of ISK in the wallet of the character he logs on account management with, review the price and character being sold - press Confirm

ISK is withdrawn and sent to seller's character. character is placed in the transfer state to buyers account.

No way of either party to scam the other that way since nothing will happen until buyer confirm and gets his isk withdrawn.

/c

As soon as the toon is put up for sale it should be transferred to an escrow status and held by a third party...CCP. The seller should no longer have access to it unless the transaction fails to be finalized by the buyer. A time limit would work nicely here. CCP handles the final transfer. Some nit-noy webpage mechanism can be easily devised to get confirmation from both parties. Both parties could also pay a small fee to CCP for their "troubles" (in case CCP thinks being more active in this isn't "worth their while"...which is highly likely.) If CCP can take a percentage from NPC Corp activity, I'm sure they have room for more imaginary money.

Then....I can volunteer to be the third party and all the ISK involved along with the toon can be transferred to my duly diligent control where I promise on my honor as a...former inmate at the local women's prison (for fraud...) promise on my honor to ensure the satisfaction of both parties involved.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

This thread is glorious because none of the above, specifically the person I quoted read through the entire thread, more than one person, in fact to my count 6 people, have said that CCP don't "just check the logs" scammers are not mentally impotent, if they sell all of the accounts stuff for 1 million isk, and then the stuff is recycled, and sold on the market, CCP CAN DO NOTHING; as it affects far too many people and would be virtually impossible to track. Spawning isk would just destabilize the economy. How about you read before you **** post, you window licking sperg.
