Scientology does terrible and stupid things and either tries to cover them up, or come up with a pathetic excuse. This is why people generally don't like them.

Solution: You can still do whatever goons do, but stop trying to kiss everyone's butts in the process. It only makes you look cowardly.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

should be locked for no content. OP must be new around here because the reason why there is so much animosity toward Goons is because of how much they spew their l33tism and suck their own epeens on the eve forums.

Meh. That is my opinion of Goons, as a whole.

Like some of them, hate others of them, but the group... meh.

Yuppers.

And we are indeed learning that Gaming + Politics = Really Bad Idea

Why do EVE players feel they are entitled to determine the game's direction anyway ? I can't even get the corner store to carry my brand of Granola.........

Things come and go. Games come and go. If CCP screws up, let them. SOMEone else will come along with a better game. May take awhile, may not.

If EVE had continued the Fail after the Summer of Rage, so be it. They would have sunk so low, lost so many players, they would have been forced to re-tool anyway. Probably in better ways than folks with the mentality of the current candidates for CSM can imagine.

Besides, are the changes so far REALLY what YOU honestly had in mind ????

And if all had failed, We would have found something else to do anyway, I guarantee it.

This 'complex program' is not the be all and end all to life as seems to be portrayed.

Just so we are clear...

You think ganking miners or whatever carebear bullsht you do is note or rage worthy? A noob with a week in game and no skills whatsoever can and does do the same. The only difference is that they recognize that they are noobs and this is the launching point for something better. You guys, not so much...

Again, you are the hipsters of eve, the Apple owner wearing eyeliner and his sister's skinny jeans. Everyone else is laughing at you.

And yes, you care. It bothers you. Go on, tell us where the mean pirate touched you.

Confirming that we constantly love to discuss how elite and skilled at Eve Online we are.

Goons are masters of solo and small gang PvP and we hate new players and cheap ships.

I dont think that is a very accurate picture tbh.

Beeing a Goon is like beeing captured Na zi Concentration camp Guards in the hands of Allied Soldiers in 1945.

Remember folks, The White Man's burden was a myth. A fable to justify colonialism....

We do what we do because it needs to be done, not to be liked. Heavy is the burden we carry, arduous the road of the just.

Less Stockholm, more along the lines of zealotry. The only burden that I think a goon has to bear is that of obscurity. So many gears in the machine, and the only ones noticed is the controller and a couple of his assistants by the world at large. To toil under a yoke such as that, like so many before them without due recognition or liquid compensation is indeed a heavy burden. Of course, the gears will always quietly do their job, the only sounds that of happy contentment while they harbor a bitter seed within. Such is the truth of any government like this one, and if a gear thinks of grinding to loudly, it will be replaced, its time of servitude having no meaning in the end.

Indeed, the goons carry a heavy burden, and I pity them for it.
