So I'm looking into some trading that some might find slightly offensive; what is CONCORDS rules of engagement should they come across a transport filled with slaves?

As far as I can work out Amarr is ok on the slave issue, rest is against and some google fu shows customs might scan you down and object to the cargo - but so far I haven't found any posts on what exactly happens if you happen to be flying slaves in Caldari space for instance and big brother catches you.

Cheers,
X

IIRC being scanned down will give you a pop up saying you have illegal goods. You can then do 2 things, quickly eject them or continue (scanning always happen at gates or stations). If you decide to continue you likely will be fined and that fine is automatically substracted from your wallet (at least that's what happened to me when I was shipping some illegal drugs to make boosters).

My google-fu skills are lacking, guess I'll train it up after current skill queue is done...

Now to figure out the mechanics of being scanned down.

Basically you're talking about smuggling. Usually when caught, you'll get a message informing you that you'll be fined ISK with a decrease of your security status and items confiscated. There's an option to comply or not. If you don't comply, might incur the destruction of your ship.

A full set of Snake implants will greatly increase the chance of successfully smuggling contraband past Customs Officials at gates. Having Navigation and ship skills maxed should help as well, since Snake implants also increase speed. Using a cloaked ship fitted for agility and warping to 0 is probably the best way to travel when smuggling contraband. The idea is to always be moving since Customs Officials can scan your ship on either side of the gate, so no autopilot or afk action. Having a Jump Clone set up for this is a good idea.

There's 2 set's of Snake implants available, Low Grade and Standard. Each implant set consists of 5 attribute implants and 1 hardwiring implant for a complete set of 6 implants.

Affordable - good chance of success.

you not only get fined but a faction hit towards the faction that owns that space.

Fight them until turmoil is no more and strike terror into their hearts. www.ross-fw.net

My original idea was to fill a charon with contraband, but as someone helpfully pointed out, that would be like trying to smuggle drugs in Emma Mærsk ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_M%C3%A6rsk ), which while not totally impossible, might not be the smartest move... :-)

But thanks for the answers, I'll be sure to ask serpentis nicely for their implants when my path should cross theirs :)

Watch out with the fines, I believe it can pull your wallet into the negative which is an incredibly annoying thing to have.
