Not sure but I think they just keep being added to the bottom of the list.

You could list all the URL bookmarks in the notepad with them set up into different groups. Then when you need a specific URL from a certain group, you can quickly find it and copy/paste it into chat for another player or paste it into the browser.

Basically I just save the URL in the browser and also list it in the notepad. That way you'll always have a back-up copy of all URL's listed in the browser.

As I play EVE in windowed mode I use my normal browser over the IGB.

I was wondering the exact same thing a few nights ago and, after multiple rather fruitless attempts decided that it's probably not possible to sort them in game. I assume that the bookmarks are written somewhere in a file on disk, maybe if you find that one you can re-arrange them manually but I haven't had time to check that yet.

If anyone has some better insight, I would also be interested.

IIRC the bookmarks are saved in a text file somewhere (though it's been a bit since I've poked around there). You should be able to open that and edit it to move them around. I'm not on my desktop right now though, so I can't pull it up and look around right now.
