I am a goonwaffe director, and I'm quite upset that one of our members may have treated you in such a disrespectful manner.

I would be happy to open an investigation into this. However, we have a standard 500m deposit for investigations: this is to ensure that my time and the time of my fellow directors is not wasted. If this was a scam, it will be returned with the goods (or their isk value if they've been sold or otherwise lost). If not, it will be kept as an investigation fee.

Please send the money directly to the Goonwaffe corp wallet and send me an in-game mail with all relevant evidence.

you are a liar, you sent me a mail that your husband has 3 kids

Lol? Like he's suppose to feel bad because he stole ingame money which, somehow in your little world, has real life value... and that somehow affects his 2.. now 3 kids? Stfu.

He stole in game money that cost my husband REAL WORLD MONEY to buy the PLEX that he used to turn into ISK. SO YES IT HAS REAL LIFE VALUE. Continue training STUPID V.

I for one am horrified by the parenting decisions of people who, despite a rapidly-growing stable of children - so numerous that they themselves cannot keep count - will recklessly spend hundreds of dollars on imaginary internet spaceships. Money that they themselves admit that they can ill afford.

Surely in today's economic climate that money would have been better spent on putting food on the table, or perhaps on clothing your offspring. Perhaps it is time that you sat down with your husband and re-assessed your life priorities instead of continuing to spend the college funds of your burgeoning brat-pack on pixels and imaginary possessions. Less time spent falling victims to simple and easily-avoidable scams might give you more time to spend rebuilding your parental relationships with the latch-key children you abandoned in favour of shiny graphics and imaginary accomplishments.

You might also find it handy to keep a list handy of your childrens' names, so that you can easily keep tabs on who they are and how many of them exist at any given time.

With $500 I'd buy myself a wife who didn't post this **** on the forums for the world to see. But don't fret, with this lesson maybe your children will make better decisions than you and your husband in the future.

Either way, it's just a game, it's not like you lost real mon- nevermind.

If my husband lost $500 dollars in a video game then I'd divorce him for his financial recklessness. It's one thing for your husband to make an idiotic mistake, and another for you to make him look like he's tied to ball and chain. Stop making your husband regret his marriage.

Who knows, maybe your children will attend business school to avenge your $500 dollars for you.

So you spent 500$ into a game? Ok.. Still your "point" about this affecting your 3 children is moot, moneys already spent.. were they gonna eat that is isk if it wasn't stolen?

edit:

It's famous for its dishonest player base? Seriously. I wasn't aware of this, nor was my husband. Maybe we're playing the wrong game!![

You are, as another recently enlightened person on the nature of eve kindly put it:

Quote:
I realize now that this game isn't about rules and regulations, but about human survival, or how we percieve it to be in a game.

I don't recall saying the scam directly affected our 3 children. I was just pointing out that Grirna has a family, and so he is limited as to the money he can spend on gaming, and having someone just swoop in, pretend to be friends, and offer to help you out, swindling you out of everything you just bought, is just wrong.

I don't know why this game is called 'Eve'.. they should change the name to 'Thieves'

How much for the 3 children? I have a client in singapore that will pay nicely for them.

I didn't count my son in my forum post, as I did in my eve mail to you. We support 3 kids, but only 2 are biologically Grirna's. And I am not a liar.

Confirming Toxic's family cherishes the 2 children that are Grirna's. The third child she forgot to mention lives under the stairs in a box with a bowl of water and occasional scraps from dinner.

This is just rich! The family man with children guilt trip was precious, too. I wonder if your kids will be angry that the $500 that could have gone to their college fund was squandered on spacemoney and stolen by a Goon. While you may find this atrocious, I find it hilarious. Your children should apply for emancipation, because any adult who would be such a fool as to get scammed by a Goon (no offense, Goons. gg) deserves it.

Since you are so apt to waste RL money, I would like to apply for a $500 loan. I'll be honest though. I plan to spend it on liquor, drugs, and cheap women.

Posting in an Istvaan Shogaatsu approved thread. I also believe that C&P would do a better job of raising the children in question. I nominate Lady Spank for mom and Darius III for Dad.

Thank you for the Scammer Warning,

Sorry your husband got scammed...

The majority of EvE's unpaid advertising is centered around the obscene scams players successfully pull off. There are multiple cases of trillion isk scams, infamous alliance dispandings by spies, and other forms of back-stabbing. Please be very weary with who you trust, and no that the only person that can protect your assets is you...

More importantly than anything anyone has said yet your husband broke the very first hard learned rule of eve: don't buy anything you can't afford to lose. Everyone has a moment early on where they buy their first destroyer or cruiser or something and spend all their money on it only to get killed by a rat or something and then have nothing. This game doesn't gently hint at this rule it slaps you in the face with it. I fly a Drake. This isn't because I can't afford a better ship. Hell I'm not too far away from getting in a tengu. I just want to make enough money with my drake that once I spend that hundreds of millions of isk I'll still be able to function if I lose it. Your husband should have gotten 1 moon, lost a billion and then learned a lesson. As it was he spent more than he could lose.

Stepping back and looking at this I think the whole thing was a sympathy scam. Sometimes it's hard to tell if someone is 'really that stupid', trolling, or just playing dumb in hopes of free ISK. X up if you sent "poor mom" ISK or real currency please. C'mon now, don't be shy... I know that guy who was evemailing her back and forth sent SOMETHING.
