Scandal as Gallente players enslaved in Khanid Rules Football Match Fixing Debacle!

Sensational news reached Gutter Press from the Khanid Kingdom, where a football league on one of the backwater planets of that benighted realm is embroiled in a match fixing scandal!

Scandalous!

The league in one of the towns on Kihtaled is formed from slave teams under the ownership of the local Holders, and one of those Holders contracted a mercenary capsuleer to capture several Gallente players, in order to use the enslaved Gallenteans as ringers in vital matches!

Amazing!

Caldari gamblers are also rumoured to be involved, which is no surprise, given the Caldari Gambling Genome, as described by the renowned academic Dr. Yvormes, discoverer of the Caldari Criminal Chromosome. These Caldari gambling syndicates are rumoured to have invested unprecedented amounts of currencies in the Kihtaled football leagues.

Sensational!

Local opinions on this matter are also outraged!
"Bringing in foreign players instead of breeding your own superior players, well that's not the sport of football I know!" said one Holder.
"This is bringing the sport into disrepute!" said another.

Federation citizens are, naturally, outraged at this latest provocation by the Khanid Kingdom, ruled over by the despot King Khanid, who is well known to have several ethnic Gallente slaves!

Gutter Press will continue to investigate corruption in sport.

The Kingdom has always been exemplary when it comes to procuring useful outside labor forces.

And Kihtaled is hardly 'backwater,' thank-you-very-much.

Gutter Press is including links to previous Gutter Press stories. That's almost a first step toward a source.

No kidding. Kihtaled is the eastern gateway to central and southern Kingdom space, and the last line of defense to the capital system.

You want "backwater", try Arzieh, Balanaz or Irmalin.

Typical Gallente sensationalist media.

Everyone knows that the best use for Gallente slaves is salt mining, not football, they are far too weak to provide any challenge to a Caldari professional.

I too have been directly quoted in a Gutter Press article. I rather wish they hadn't.

In comparison to the cultural beacons of the Coriault constellation, and of course the glorious Luminaire itself, places such as Kihtaled are indeed accurately described as backwaters. Backwaters of a benighted realm, unlike the proud and free Federation.

Speaking as someone who was born and raised in Luminaire - Caille, specifically - but currently spends a lot of time in the Kingdom, I'm going to have to disagree. Kihtaled is by no means a backwater system. It may have lower capsuleer traffic than other parts of the cluster, but it has a very large amount of civilian and military traffic.

Quite right Miss Lagann. Not to mention commercial traffic.

Rather than making uninformed statements, I invite people to come to Kihtaled for a visit to see for themselves. There are many parts of the Kingdom that have much to offer.

Little-known fact: the Kingdom has the richest concentration of pre-terraformed habitable planets in the entire cluster.

There are many reasons His Highness chose to invite our people to this region all those years ago. We've thrived here spiritually, technologically, and financially.
