The hunting party is growing each day now. So large in fact that I'm now encouraging pilots who wish to get involved to branch out to other pockets to scout for targets.

Boters beware...or just go about your business and I'll be there shortly to say hello o/

Also, on the Exploration front, I'm forming plans to start covering exploration sites in low security space while also remaining near boting territory to continue the hunt.

Great stuff :-)

I took my Hound to Paragon Soul the very same night I posted those comments in the other thread.
I only spent 24hours in there (about 15hours logged in actively seeking bots), because my main thing in the game is small gangs, and very soon I started missing fleets and PvP :-)

Well, it was fun that's for sure. I encountered many bots, but had no success in killing one.

Here's a kind of a report:

I didn't use the Stain pipe. Instead I went about 100 jumps through various nullsec regions, wherever NPC killing seemed active. And I did see some bots. They are on scan as you enter system, and disappear 5 seconds later. Every time I hanged around to lurk the bots, small reinforcements would arrive within a few minutes to scare me away. So I figured that happens mostly in areas that are still relatively close to high/low sec, and less in real deep null.

So I continued toward Paragon Soul.
In Estoria there were many more bots already, and much less actual pilot activity. The only proper gatecamp was waiting in SN9S, a bunch of Dramiels, Huginn and Rapier. I just waited them out, most of them gave up waiting for me after 30min, and I just went through whoever stayed behind and they couldn't catch me on the other side.

From these onwards into Estoria and Paragon Soul, I lurked a few bots. I figured out where they're warp to when I log off, then I logged off in that belt, and logged back in. Most of the times it didn't work, I'm not sure about if bots change behavior, switch belts, or wait a few min before warped back to belt, or something like that.... But anyhow, I managed to tackle one Apoc bot in Estoria when I logged back in once. The rats were shooting him as well and that was good, but too soon a Dramiel entered local and I had to warp away as it landed on grid.

In Paragon Soul I tackled one Raven bot in O1Q-P1, but had to warp out due to rats doing too much damage on me. I logged off for a while, and when coming back I shot at a ratting Machariel from distance (not a bot).
BTW, a thing about bots is that they don't loot the wrecks, so evertime I saw a rat faction wreck left behind I looted it, and ended up coming back to highsec with a good few hundreds of mil ISK, which was a nice reward for 15hour of bot hunting.
I was already wanting to go back to lowsec tbh, because I was missing some good fleets in my corp :-) On my way back I lingered in systems with bots. I saw some Hulk+Noctis bots as well I believe. I'm not sure how those work, but I'm 100% sure they weren't active piloted. For example, a Bestower named ADD1, 2 Hulks named ADD2 and ADD3, and a Noctis named ADD4, all disappeared from dscan as I entered system, and I found them at a POS. And the same kind of example in other systems as well. They wouldn't warp back to the belts if I logged off though, so I don't know how those mechanics work and how to catch them.

At this point I was already carrying so much faction loot, that I was afraid of going back through that camped pipe :-) So I scanned my way back to lowsec through wormholes. I had an Expanded Probe Launcher fitted instead of Bomb Launcher, so that I could offline the Siege and online the probe launcher in case I'd need to scandown a juicy target... instead I used it to get my loot out safely :-) (also fitted an extra Ballistic Control as you suggested in the previous video).

Even though only 15hours, it was fun a lot of fun.
If I had an alt that could fly stealth bomber I'd just leave it there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who does!
Not to mention that if you are wise in the ways of nullsec and feel secure about moving around without getting caught, then ther'es a good potential to make good ISK while you're at it, stealing from the bots :-)

One thing's for sure, every time I AFKed in a system, all the hulks, BSs, etc... were sitting in the POS. 0 ratting activity was taking place, heck not even a Drake would dare rat while I was just hanging around in a Hound... So yes, just being there does the trick.

Fantastic story of your travels. Thank you for the intel Aldap.

I hope this goes to convince other pilots to venture out after the boters.
Thank you Aldap o/
