First Weeks Earnings

Reflection

With a few updates through out the day I'm making a comfortable amount of profit, aside from the day where I had 7m loss. This was because I didn't check the price of an order and accidently bought it at twice it's normal price. I now take an extra second per order just to double check so I don't do this again.

Some profit isn't shown since I'm also doing some sales through contracts, I'd estimate maybe 1-2 million profit extra per day so not too much to warrant me getting an exact number.

Reflection

Just finished switching all my orders over to corporation side so I can just use the same wallet(no clue why I wasn't doing this before). So that may be the loss of 18m today cause I just cancelled all my sell orders. Investors interest has already been set aside into a wallet division and my profit spent on losing at poker.

Lack of profit has been me just being rather absent from my desktop as well as letting orders fill over time so I could replace them corporate side. I still got a handful of orders I need to re-place(probably tomorrow before I go get covered in a thick white fluid). Since this week has been rather slow, here's some stats after relisting a bunch of things.

Update
I had contacted investors on March 9th, 2012 regarding extending the loan an additional month. They had both agreed to extend their investments another month. Interest payments have been sent out as of posting this.

I neglected to pay Interest out on time yesterday, so I have given an extra 1% for this payment period. I do apologize about not sending that payment out on time

Reflection
It's been a rather busy week for me IRL so I've had very little time for EVE, a couple days were dedicated to a civilization V match me and my roommate had...

A nice handful of buy orders did fill and I've got some items being moved around right now that I seen is decent for a trade route.

If I got time Saturday(today) I may work on a little script that will read the eve-mentat database for market orders and show me what's good for trade routes that I already trade. So this could improve my profits a fair bit possibly, since I got a little bit of isk sitting idly in the corp wallet that doesn't really see much change.

Phew that was a lot of typing. If I notice those profitable items markets crash I'll simply stop posting them in all future posts. For the ones that aren't the First Most profitable, it's not listed because that is making me enough profit I would rather not chance having that market tank. In both instances the difference was nearly twice what the second most was.

Overall Reflection
Was a good month, had plenty of real life discrepancies and still managed to get enough time in to make a nice little penny, my contract activities have slowed down. With me moving my orders over to corp side eve-mentat didn't like having me importing my player orders through file and would have issues, so at that point I investigated it's database files in hopes of figuring out how to fix it... Long story short, I just default import character orders through files now.
If anyone is interested in me sharing said script I make to possibly find trade routes using the eve-mentat database, give me a shout ASAP with what scripting language you would prefer otherwise it'll be made in probably PHP for my own personal use.

Now I'm going to go enjoy some middle of the night fast food that is probably spit in because I seldom tip!

Oddly enough after I posted my most profitable items, the most profitable item I didn't reveal tanked quite a bit(went from 78% profit to 24%) and for some reason eve-profit seen I lost isk(later it corrected itself as I sold more). I will only be posting most profitable at the end of a term.

Overall it's been a nice week. Updates may start happening on Wednesday just so I can put more effort into them instead of trying to rush them, today I just managed to wake up before 1500h for once.

Haven't been using my windows partition that often since I have wanted to spend more time programming. With regards to some profits, the days I had (good) profit was when I imported some items for a trade route

Been rather busy with programming interests of my own as well as for some reason having a social life. So my activity has been a lot lower than normal. Since I've been sleeping until just before I need to leave for work I don't have time to update order as I'm heading out of the door.

With this week I have placed all items in sell orders and cancelled buy orders to ensure that everything with this loans ends smoothly without me needing to dump into buy orders.

Don't feel bad, I get negative profit all the time, but that's only when I look at daily profit. I tend to run an aggressive re-investment.

Ignoring my hiatus, 4.5 months ago I was at 250m in my wallet. I kept re-investing. It took me 4 months to reach 1bil in my wallet, which didn't seem that great to me. I canceled all of my buy orders, put everything into sell orders(except ~ 1 weeks worth of PI/manufacturing materials) and took a break from Eve. Came back to 4.8bil in my wallet, another 500mil in manufacturing jobs that finished and my heavily inflated value minerals/etc which were about another 800mil.

Even right now I'm showing a 1.3bil "loss" from the last month and a 300mil loss from the past week. I have the math worked out so I can push in a buy or sell order and it will spit out the break even point for a given buy+sell broker fee and sales tax(so I can buy at Rens for 0.37% and sell in Jita for 0.85%+0.5%tax...etc..). I always make sure what I'm buying has a nice safety margin and I look at the volume/averages/trends.

Summary:
For the longest time, I didn't think I was actually turning a profit, but the math in my individual orders worked out to be constant profits, so I kept doing it even though the trading tools kept yelling at me for negative profits.

Lesson:
As long as I keep those in my sights, I just keep shoving money into orders.

I don't quite understand how you are concluding that I feel bad, would you mind explaining your reasoning behind this?

Update:
Actually read over your post... It seems you lack the same reading comprehension as myself. Right after I stated everything is in sell orders now, I say it's so this loan ends smoothly. With 10 days left in this term/bond I plan on wrapping it up early just to get everything sorted out. I also have a lot less orders to babbysit so I can 0.01 during my lunches.

Not much to reflect upon. I'm wrapping up the bond so I'm just selling what items I have.

Currently not at home so I cannot get ISK that's in my wallet or orders(eve-profit doesn't show corp orders).

With the recent news of eve profit closing down I will be waiting to see what course the owner takes before I start any future bonds. Unless the new owner is already a trusted party, I will not be using eve-profit if it goes down the route of just switching owners. If this is the case I will probably just make a clone of it for my own personal use
