It's a 6 months long venture, I am fairly sure someone will leave before that.

I never get why people do investments, i mean say I invest 50b and in 6 months with 2% i get 1b profit. who here can not make more than 1b profit in less than a week or even a month. its just odd how people see this as anyway of making isk. be locking up a lot of isk for bare minium isk return

fyi i am not laying down any criticism on anyone's bond, just the whole idea of bonds with little % return but i guess there are plenty of people still willing to invest, just odd to me.

Not really the place to discuss this, but since you ask:

Firstly, interest rates that you see here are almost always monthly. So the return you are looking at here is 1b per month.

Secondly, there are two things required to turn 1b profit - Time and Inclination. When you have ISK but are missing one or both of these things, investing capital for a passive income is attractive.

A quick update, as the bond approaches its end I'll talk a bit about what's going to happen.

With the next interest payout we'll start paying back investors who so desire. Tne official bond expiration is in september, at which point all the isk will be paid back, so it's of course completly voluntary to do it a month in advance.

We're currently exploring ways of continuing the bond, we'll probably try to have something more dynamic if we do a second round. Reason being that there's been a lot of interest from people asking to joining in late and such which the current format obviously didn't allow us to accomodate. Not quite sure on how to handle it if we do decide to, but it may very well return to personal investments unsecured or secured individually. Any suggestions more than welcome.

Bond is officially over, all isk has been paid out. I'll leave a couple of days for payout confirmations/disputes before requesting release of collateral from Chribba.

As for the future, we are still interested in making a subsequent bond, and have recieved great interest from people to do so, however we're not quite final on the details. While the collateral as such is unproblematic to keep locked down, the format has it's drawbacks. I might give uncollaterized or partially collaterized a go(IE lock down all the bpos we can, keep a transperancy as to how many investors we have and how much has been invested, but not necessarily match the value of tbe bond in collateral. Instead just give the option of withdrawing from the bond at any time, with advance notice whenever anyone else is looking to invest. But really, it's all up in the air for now, so feedback both in game and here would be appreciated.
