Wing Commander style UI?

Hi there,

I loved the wing commander series a long time back, especially because it felt much more like sitting in the space ship than EVE does. This camera view on the ship - it's so artifical, so cold. Its just not flying a space ship - its more directing one remotely.

Is there any possibility to change that such that it looks like I am sitting in the ship, having a nice view out of the front window (for small ships) and its actually showing where I am flying to? On cap ships we would need some sort of command room.
But whatever the options - you would have so much possibilities, every ship would look different etc.

In before all the other "if you don't like it go back to playing Wing Commander" comments.

But yeah, if you want all the reasons why it's not going to happen do a quick search. I can't be arsed to reitterate what's already been said over and over on these forums.

You might want to read up on some of the lore and backstory of EVE

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...
