Tested out some of my old bugs. They are all still there. These are associated with setting graphics to "Quality", all mitigated by setting them lower. They are known bugs to the bug reporting system.

Some NPC stations are bright red (ammar ones that are in mission or complex spaces).
Docking with high graphics will cause a crash.

And a new one: high graphics turned my avatar's face into a scarred ruin.

So back to low graphics. In general the client does seem smoother and slicker, so good job on the speed improvements. But we need some love with high graphics settings, both in terms of bugs and just a boost to FPS.

Then I started web browsing using firefox, and right in the middle of having it load a pile of tabs.....POP! The eve window disappears. Apparently there is still a bug where alot of internet activity can cause eve to CTD with no error. First one Ive had (unexpectedly) in weeks.

another EPIC fail from CCP, the issue with eve completely is still there and worse than ever, seriously what are you guys doing? since eve doesn't technically crash there won't be a crash log.

Earlier i downloaded the latest patches and managed to log on and play.... A few hours later I tried relogging into EVE; whilst putting in my password the game froze! Further attempts to reload were made, however the screen would be black the entire time (apart from the cursor) in full-screen mode. In windowed mode the screen just showed my desktop. The sound ran fine and i was able to even input my password and log into the game (confirmed by a friend on team-speak). However the screen remains blank.....

An issue with the patch or computer? (which can run every other graphically dependant app i own fine)

That is a brand new OSX feature introduced 1-2 weeks ago. Can be solved by making an Eve client clone. However, only 1 working clone can be made, making owning several accounts completely obsolete.

Come again? He stated that he managed to log on fine between the main patch today and the update... so clearly it's something to do with the update.

There is no contradiction. Something is triggering that in different times in different user cases since the first post regarding the issue appeared in Macintosh threads. I think its pretty obvious, if you would care also reading other posts in Macintosh threads as well.

In fact, even the workaround of making Mac client clone can die in few days and you will have to make a new one.

I have been an EVE player for almost a year now, seen the terrible introduction of the CQ, (which i like) and the frequent crashes and slowing of game play it caused..... however today's patch is the WORST EVER!

I have had repeated system freeze up, and crashes. I operate all of my paid accounts on a Mac because EVE is incompatible with my 64 bit XP pc systems.

As the current situation is, I am unable to play EVE at all.

God forbid i get into a combat situation and things freeze, CCP won't replace lost ships. So i am effectively station bound until you fix this fiasco.

Do you actually pay programmers to roll out these complete failures? If this is not fixed today I would expect you to credit my accounts for days lost that I am unable to play the game.

Even chatting freezes, i have to use the return button or the enter button, in the past both worked, now one freezes and then the other works until crash.

A new low for Mac users CCP

Eve mac client still freezes within seconds if any bit torrent program is running in background, or is launched after Eve is running. Adobe updater also causes this type of freeze.

This problem never occurred before Crucible........

MacPro 2.8Ghz 8 core
12GB Ram
ATI 5770 1GB
OSX 10.7.3

Note other than the above my multiple clients (3) all complete, separate installs with the info file path altered to point at the separate installs e.g "Eve Online" is edited to "Eve 1a" etc, all work fine.

Convo and People & Places both went to black when their UI edges were clicked on. Nothing I tried would recover except to close and reopen.

The only problem i have aside from the occasional crash is that portraits fail to load, clearing cache and/or redownloading the client solved the issue only for a short while. Small FPS boost noted.

And now for a different experience -

Used the latest update on my hackintosh today (3.3ghz q6600/ATI 6870). Had a nice fleet roam today with about 130 dudes we rolled into a system that ended up with about 450 3 way battle. tidi kicked in a couple of times, but didn't get over 50%. Up until the engagement i was getting solid 60fps, occasionally dipping briefly into the 40's with jumping, etc. During the engagement I was getting between 20 - 40 fps. This was with all effects on with brackets and about a million missiles flying around.

Client resounded perfectly. Fleet lasted about 2 hours, no issues at all.

Nice job CCP

I'm experiencing this same issue. By way of habit I'm now clearing my cache every time I log out.

12 posts of problems on this thread and many more in the general Crucible thread and no response from CCP here at all. Not so much as a "We are now aware of the problems and are looking to solve them asap". Guess that more player responsive CCP Helmar spoke of was fantasy jargon to sooth the masses after your previous fiasco. Thanks for the customer service CCP.

attempting to log on,
attempting to undock,
using the chat window,
basically trying to play the game, these are the things that step by step cause issues and freezes that lead to crashing.

Updated my client to Crucible 1.2 today.
Everything was going well for the first hour or so, and then I got a black screen, with only the cursor visible.

At the time, I was scanning in a wormhole and chatting in corp chat. When the black screen kicked in I tried various things to get the UI back, but nothing worked.

I then force quit Eve and restarted it, only to still get a black screen. It seems like the UI was there underneath the black screen because the cursor was changing as I moved it about the screen (Note, the cursor is the ONLY thing I can see on the screen).

Am am running a 27 inch 2011 iMac with a 3.1GHz i5 processor, 4 Gb 1333MHz DDR3 ram and AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB graphics card running Mac OS X 10.7.2. My Eve client runs full screen at 2560x1440, with most settings turned up to medium or high, and CQ turned off.

I do have a cloned copy of the Eve client, which I loaded up and worked ok. Note, that copy is running in windowed mode. I did not try switching it to full-screen for fear of losing that too.

I removed my original Eve client, re-downloaded a fresh copy and installed it, only to get the same probelm. Total black screen, except the cursor, however I could see the cursor changing as I moved it around, for example over the Terms and Conditions box should be the cursor changed to what it would normally change to over that box.

Please help.
Many Thanks.

Ghost inventory items remain in station inventory after they are sold or reprocessed. The icon is still there, but it says the item is being sold. Reboot of the system did not fix.

I had a new issue today but as it's my first time fighting with a dreadnought for over a year, I am unsure whether it has been introduced under the latest patch or not.

• Right click on capacitor menu disappears sometimes.
• Hardware info: Mac model = iMac 7.1, GPU = ATI Radeon HD2400, CPU = 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, RAM = 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.)
• OS version = Mac OS X 10.5.8

Step by step guide to what causes the issue:

• I jumped a dreadnought to another system using the 'right click on capacitor' then 'jump to cyno pilot' menu options with no problem.
• Was then attacking a POS in siege mode for a while.
• After stopping the attack I found that I was unable to get any menu option by right clicking on the capacitor, however right click on all other game elements was working fine.
• Was able to jump out by asking cyno pilot to broadcast in fleet.

Other functions make up for this so workaround available, however this would be an issue if ever in a "get dreads jumped out immediately" situation, as most people now assume the right click on capacitor menu will be used by capital pilots; deliberately asking a cyno pilot for name or to broadcast cyno in order to jump out can be too long.

Since the new crucible a number of the previous problems have disappeared. Grid loading is smoother, and switching busy chat channels does not cause the whole client to freeze as before. However, the new problem that I and other mac users have had on 2 occasions has been on titan bridging. All the mac users ended up lost in space and had to re-log. We regrouped on the bridge and then it happened again. Mac users scattered through system and all having to re-log. No such problems with gates or docking / undocking.

you are braver than I am. I am at a point when I don't even mine or mish with 2 clients because I m afraid of the system locking up when switching back and forth.
