Howdy all.

I played eve about four years ago for a while and life took me away from it...

Started back up my account and thought I would start a new character. Things have changed a lot. Was going to do some mining. In the "old days" I would jet can ore then pick it up in a hauler. This would be in high sec.

Is this still a common practice? Before I stopped playing I thought there were about to start putting more restrictions on jet canning.

Thought I would ask the experts.

Thanks

Yes, but only if you want the contents stolen and/or to be baited for a gank. Not recommended really, if you have to go solo, go for anchored Giant Secure Containers.

Still on the lookout for a new corp, so for now I'm solo.

Times have certainly changed, Eve is a lot more hostile than it used to be, so jet-can mining is a bit more difficult. Either cargo fit your hulk, or forget about solo mining in my opinion, everybody wants to kill miners nowadays Roll

Solo, you're probably better off working up to running L4 missions, you'll end up with more isk and an easier time of it.
