[SYNE] Announcing the Third Seyllin Conference (Final updates)

YASHUNEN - 08.04.114YC - Good day pilots, I hope this message finds you all well.

It is my honor and privileged to announce to you all the Third Seyllin Conference will be taking place sometime in the coming months. The conference is being called to discuss the implications of sightings of an Awakened Infomorph in known space, as well as sighted moments before attacks in Anoikis space on Capsuleer owned POS. All of this is elaborated on in a Report by Syne CEO Commander S. Baxter visible HERE.

As well, the conference will also discuss the continued Incursions into empire controlled space by Sansha's Nation, and the current tactic of many organizations of Capsuleers to deal with said Incursions.

The details of the conference are not yet available as we are still in the preliminary stages of planning. However, it will take place in the Seyllin system, 8-14 CreoDron Warehouse as it has always been held. The Accord is currently requesting any and all Capsuleers who wish to express interest in speaking at the event please contact the Selection Committee members. However, please do be aware the Synenose Accord had all the right to rescind the right of any and all participants in the conference due to the potential security risk that individual, or individuals, may pose towards the conference.

    A brief history of the Seyllin Conference: The first conference was called by the original founder of the Synenose Accord, Julianus Soter, three months after the Seyllin Event wracked the galaxy to bring the greatest minds of the cluster together to try and understand how such a thing occurred. The event has since been called to bring forth the brightest minds a second time to discuss the Sansha War of Resurgence, and their possible involvement with Sleepers and the Jovians. Following in this line, the Third Seyllin Conference is to help spread information about the Sansha, and their ongoing war. As well as the sleepers, and their sudden appearance in known space.

    We have had interest in presenting a topic expressed from a few well-informed people at this point. Space is still open, and we will still be seeking people out.

    Allow me to take this opportunity to remind pilots that what you present doesn't have to be something completed, no loose ends, all tied up in a bow. Half the point of the Seyllin conference is to ask questions about the unknown.

    On a security note, we would like to remind people that the venue we have chosen supports a VR interface. If you believe you have made it onto our red list, i.e. actively assisted Sansha's Nation, you will still be allowed to attend, but only by VR hologram. This is in order to ensure minimal risk to the conference. Anyone in doubt about whether they can turn up in person should mail the selection committee as soon as possible for a definitive answer.

    ALL guests and speakers are reminded that unnecessary disturbances will not be looked on kindly and may lead to penalties.

    Lastly, we would like to remind guests that there will be an open bar post-conference.

    So here we are again at the dawn of another Seyllin Conference. Not so long ago I was put in charge of organising it, but lack of care from the other pilots in SYNE led me to drop the project.

    Good to see this corporation is finally putting its preverbial backsides into gear for once.

    As for the matters at hand.
    I would be glad to relinquish the custody over the SEYCON03 Lobby and SEYCON03 Auditorium Neocom channels.
    If the counteroffer is right, offcourse.

    Since my mailbox is empty and you've only asked here, I'm personally assuming that you're either not serious or you're in the process of composing a mail with a top-knotch explaination of why we should let a former member of Shaktipat Revelators and known ally of Sansha's Nation forces past the security check.

    At this point I would just like to remind people that we do not persecute ideological or religious beliefs, or apply guilt by association. Actively assisting Nation militarily or by subterfuge however, will not stand you in good stead from a security perspective.

    When a date is set I'll see what I can do to attend. I'm very interested in what SYNE might have in the way of presentable information regarding the Sleepers, the Jovians, the Nation, and any evidence that points to a link between any of those parties.

    As for a presentation of my own, I have none. What information I do have is more than likely of no real use to anyone with any sort of good intentions, and further some of the information I have is not mine to give freely without the consent of other parties. That said, I hope by now that people have realized I'm more than happy to engage in any halfway meaningful conversation, be it offering my own opinion or answering a few questions.

    I was thinking more along the lines of a "Top-notch explanation" of why Syne should shift gears to actively assist the Nation. I Said I was willing to speak about the Nation at length, but certainly not speak against the Nation. There is no need for a security check when ones intentions are known is there? In fact, how harmful could a counterpoint to all this Anti Nation propaganda be?

    Pilot Thessalonia, it is more apt to state that the populace of new eden would believe that pilot Valentina would perform this action due to the somewhat public activites of one Sansha Kuvakei, and his statements during an interview with an IDS correspondent.

    Nation's use of the very tactic you are so dismissive of is well documented.

    However, there are various methods available to remove such a threat. Nanites are simple machines, and therefore easily controlled.

If you feel you have something of worth to present - as opposed to the snarky rhetoric you're currently spouting - follow the procedure. Submit your talk, paper or abstract to the review committee and put your ISK where your mouth is.

    What's the worst that can happen? A rejection from those you've deemed 'completely insane' - hardly something to fry your implants over is it?

    Those who are intending to submit should be reminded that while the focus of the Seyllin conferences in the past has been Sleeper technology, w-space exploration, rogue drones, the War of Resurgence and Sansha's Nation other topics which stand to benefit or educate humankind across the cluster are certainly of interest.

    SYNE is also willing to assist in whatever way we can with the completion or progress of research you feel may be of relevance. Appropriate contacts have been listed in the original post or you can touch base through SYNEPublic galnet channel.

    The tanscripts of the conference are always made public post-conference. If any technical delay should occur however, I will be happy to foward you, or anyone else interested a copy.
