Make dreads less useless

Well I guess it depends on the number of titans and the number of dreads. Titans can only shoot their alpha weapon once every 10 minutes. Siege timers are 5 min so one titan can DD one dread while in siege mode and that's it. To wipe out a fleet of dreads with titan DD's you'd need equal numbers of titans. Frankly, it's easier to round up 100 guys in drakes and scimitars for the job like we did to TEST a few weeks ago when we killed something like 10 of their dreads with some drakes and tengus and didn't take any losses. (actually, we might have lost the cyno ship that bridged us in).

In other words, getting caught with your pants down doing a fail siege without good intel is just part of the drama in 0.0.

I do appreciate your sentiment that you would like the dread to be a better weapon than it is and I hope we can expect some more tweaking on the balance between dreads and other capitals. However, I don't agree that if you fail siege that there should be an easy way out.

Needing to commit carrier to rep the siege dred isn't an easy way out of failed siege intel. If anything its commiting more ships there a greater risk.

You don't need to, they still have their local rep bonus. Though one would be wise to bring capital logistics.
