I celebrated Valentine's Day buy buying and eating chocolates with my wife, eating spaghetti that her parents made for us, and losing a basilisk and getting podded, not necessarily in that order.

Valentine's Day had a tangible effect on my EVE gameplay yesterday.

I was baking a cake all last night as a surprise for the Better Half and playing some EVE at the same time because, well, there was time for that, I don't know how to make cakes and terrible at doing it efficiently. Hour four of working on the thing, it's already really late, just took the last cake layer out of the oven, waiting for it to cool, sit down to finish flying to my destination, but so tired... put my head down on the desk... 30 minutes later I wake up and realize I'm AFK at a gate in low sec, the boundary between low and high, because apparently my last awake action was hitting "insta-jump" on the target gate from the safespot I was chilling in, but the ship didn't jump due to being cloaked (you know how it goes with some ships and gates...). I was still cloaked 2083m away from the gate, and there was someone actually camping it even, didn't even know I was there. I almost pooped my pants when I saw this, and then laughed really hard.

Happy Valentine's Day / Hyvää Ystävänpäivää (probably didn't get the case right, Finnish classes were a while ago) / Chocolate Day / etc.! Smile

Kinda like how you Icelanders have the exploding mountain and stopping all European air travel thing...
