So what are the Legends Trials, I see the Legends Medal and associated others and I was wondering if anyone has beaten these trials and gotten these medals.

Poked around with Google a bit - these appear to be related to a COSMOS (in-space agent) site in Cloud Ring known as Assilot (a bookmark for it can be seen on your cluster map), specifically in the system PPG-XC.

Aside from the legends medals themselves, not sure if it's worth going out to take a look at - one of my clues in this was someone complaining on the old EVE forums that the loot from the site was terrible.
