CCP, (and to others that may be seeing similiar things or not)

Did the rate of the talacan battleship wrecks change dramatically with the new release? AI new nerph that was not mentioned or did I miss something?

If you have been watching the market you will have noticed that the intact sleeper wrecks (from which the 20 run T3 Hull BPCs are created) has gone from a low of 40 mil to todays 210 mil each. T3 prices are also going up from around 190 to 270 now; all since the latest release. Supply and demand teaches us its one or both of these that causes rises like this in price. I suspect demand, let me explain. Being a WH dweller and production person I have noticed the following and am wondering if others have been expereincing similiar drop rates:

1. Talacon battleship wrecks show up in the Mag sites of C4-C6 WH space (I have no data on C4 sites). Since the new release a certain corp has seen only one of these wrecks in all its mag site runs to date since the release. That one wreck when salvaged yielded a single malfunctioning hull (sometimes happened in the past) It appears that the Battleship wrecks are no longer appearing in C5 mag sites, and even C6 sites they have become scarce. What gives? Are any others seeing similiar things? is this why the prices are skyrocketing....?

Before the new release C5 mag sites would have about a 50% average for the wreck to be there. Seems 0% is a bit of a drastic change which leads me to wonder if someone FUBAR'd the database for these sites or did you mean to do this and just told no one.... or of course the third option... am I just out of my mindShocked

Awating an answer as I ponder pulling all my T3 hulls off the market and wait for the price to be really sweetBig smile

Update:

As of today we have gotten our first wreck on a C5 mag site, it did yield an intact hull. It would seem they will still yield them, but the talacan wreck has been very low in spawning thus far.

Yeah random is random.

The price increase is most likely caused by the increase in T3 ship demand. Mainly Tengu demand has gone up quite a lot during the last two months. I suggest you check Jita Trade Volume for Tengu.

maybe the main alliances in wh space have had a rough few weeks. each of the big names are capable of crashing half the market with t3 components. if theyre all busy shooting that money to bits in fancy t3 ships and no pve is done it will have influence on the market.

As a fellow WH resident, I can confirm that we have gone from seeing a talocan wreck spawn in c5 mag sites at about 75% or higher... but after the recent updates I personally have only seen 1 in about 10 sites. And it only dropped a wrecked.

This is even using an alt to warp in and out constantly while running the site trying to get it to spawn. (which worked in the past)

There is also a larger demand for t3 parts nowadays. Especially with two alliances (-a- and raiden) switching their fleet doctrine from drakes to tengus. There have been alot of tengu loses, and the ships need to be replaced.

Ahhh, that could explain it. I am receiving dozens of tengu orders, and component prices are skyrocketing. Hadn't worked out why ... just assumed ppl were finally seeing the light and realising what a neat little ship the tengu was.

Please do keep fighting them. It keeps me in the I need isk to buy my spiced wine and rent those hunky toy-boy marines.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

The price dropped because one of the C5 mag sites could be soloed and analyzed.. By clearing the first wave of frigates and cruisers and leaving the trigger. Bringing in an alt in a falcon and jamming the trigger, then analysing all the cans and the talocan if it is present..

When this data got out to the greater WH community, solo pilots in high end WH could milk the cash cow, if they have no corpies online to do any fleet stuff...

I believe this has been changed, and prices are now returning to the normal level.

Sure it's random, to a point. After this last update server banks (c5 radar site) used to guarantee an abandoned talocan. As in it would be there when you warped in. Previously (an update or two ago) you could warp in ships over and over to force a spawn on any c5 radar/mag site. Even as recently as two weeks ago, Info pens (c5 high end mag) would spawn them. After the last update, i've not seen any already spawned in a server bank or info pen...although i haven't run any of them to see if they now spawn upon warp in like they did. CCP DID CHANGE SOMETHING, this is not RNG, something was changed..a few times possibly.

flame on, or talk to me in game in a few days to see if this has indeed been changed once i get a chance to run some of the sites again.
