Character pricing going by 250 mil per million sp dating back from an era where plex's were less than 250 mil.

What the **** is wrong with you people.

Wrong sub forum for this. Yes your pilot isn't worth the unrealistic price you want to price it at; it's a buyer's market so deal. Also, no body gives a rats ass that you are paying for transfer with plex and that doesn't magically increase your value by 1b either.P Plex doesn't dictate how much your pilot is worth, why would you think that?

The average is 250/sp because most pilots train the same thing over and over again. Only specialized pilots will get more sp because there are fewer of them. If your 20m sp has the same core, missile/gun/ship sills as every other 20m pvp pilot there isn't anything to set it apart. However, you suddenly put a 5m maxed trader/hauler it will be worth more than 250/sp since there are very few of them for sale and demand increases price. So to get more than 250/sp average stop making average pilots.Roll

Nothing better than buying a horribly skilled pilot for low and refocusing it to something unique that isn't seen of the forums much. Makes me lotsa iskies and provides unique play opportunities while holding.

Character prices are definitely linked to Plex prices on the long run (including transfer costs). If characters sell for considerably less than their Plex value people will switch to buying characters instead of training them. People will also unsubscribe unnecessary accounts if they are effectively losing ISK by training characters. And less people will train characters just to sell them.

On the long run characters will only sell for considerably less than their Plex value if EVE finally starts to die or if CCP does not add more skills. In about one year the first characters will reach a point where they have maxed absolutely every reasonably useful combat skill. Those people are basically forced to start training an alt on their account if they don't want to ruin their main character by training industry skills. People will sell those alts regularly which increases supply. Those people will not stop training alts even if the value of characters drops considerably below the Plex value because they need to subscribe that account anyway to use their main character.

I checked character prices last week. It seems characters in the 50m sp area sell for a respective Plex price of about 400m ISK (including transfer costs). Characters above 100m sp seem to sell for about 500m ISK per invested Plex (including transfer costs).
