My frustration with the star map; suggestions included

- As it stands, moving the mouse cursor around the map is a very sensitive and aggravating task when precision is necessary. Hovering over a solar system produces a pop-up which expands even further, sometimes with a significant delay when lots of info is present. That info is useless on many occasions, rendering the pop-ups intrusive. The "stickiness" of them just adds further problems, IMO. There must be a better way.

- Please include the ability to "mark" a solar system for reference later; it's easy to lose a system crammed in among thousands, especially when trying to juggle multiple locations.

Perhaps even add the option of plotting the course betw two systems without having to set waypoints from my current location. FI, I am at point A. I want to see the route from points B to C. I DO NOT want the route from A to B to C.

- Please include measuring tools for those of us interested in the light year distance between two systems.

- When "show info"-->"orbital bodies" on a particular solar system, planets are listed: [1,2,3,4], [9], [5,6,7,8], [10+] bec of the use of Roman numerals. Please order them numerically, not alphabetically. This organizational aggravation also pertains to moons. It is a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience to some, nonetheless.

- Sometimes I like to look for specific systems within a particular region. Settings I choose are: "lines"-->"selection's region lines" and "labels"-->"selected region." unfortunately, all of the border region systems are included, and that is info I did not request!! The only way to filter that info out is to "color lines by jump type" and look for all the purple lines. I should not have to do this. Even then, I still don't know for sure if this is the proper function of the purple lines. I still have yet to understand red lines; am I missing the legend that tells me this info?

Alternatively, I could color stars by region, but then I wouldn't be able to simultaneously color by security status, as I might be looking for low-sec systems, for instance.

Your thoughts appreciated.

Haven't messed around with it in ages, but I think there's an option to the effect of "also show neighbouring regions".

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
