hi

Just got back to the game after a long break (4 years).

I have been reading up on all the changes i have missed.

I understand mothersips are now supercarriers, cant field normal drones, now they have fighter bombers which are good against poses and other capitals, correct?

1. Did motherships before have clone vat bay?
2. Has the clone vat bay been removed now?
3. If so why, doesnt this stop motherships from being able to operate as a staging base for ops in 0.0?

Yes fighter bombers are good against structures and pos mods but cant hit the pos tower.

3. Why would you need a supercap as a "stageing base"? They dont offer any protection and you shouldnt need to refit in combat. The closest to this is the titans but you only use them for bridgeing or flying in capfleets.
The clone vat bays arent really useful, you got stations for clones.

Yes they did and now they are used on the Rorqual and Titans.

Because staging base = Gallente Outpost.

I need new signature.

imo since nullsec taxis came into the game the only thinkable use of clone vat bay was poof.
that will say strategic cruisers fitted only for running, like hell. On the brink of impossible to catch.

Maybe some dude in his rorq with miner alts in the vat bay and hulks in ship maintenance bay is the last usage of them.
