eve has sound but it sounds strange. Like fallout 1 sound files in a loop.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I spent 18 months playing without sound and then added a sound-card to my setup.

Next evening whilst out on enemy patrol I got attacked by a Rifter that undocked just after me.

Surround sound caught me out a bit.

Cue "Oh **** someone is doing me from the back"

Needless to say I got called a homo for the rest of the night.

Been playing since it came out on a few toons and turned the sound off almost right away to listen to music or whatever else and havent turned it on since.

Space is vast, empty and silence. Filled with what I want it to sound like.Bear

I allways liked Battlestar Galactica Series way of sound in space...

very very very low volume...you barely can hear shooting and there are explosions..but very hollow an quiet..

edit: it is hard to find a video where some Idiot did not put some silly music over it or raised the volume to redicioulus levels.

I'm sure you would get some sort of conduction through the hull from impacting rounds, your ship's engine sounds, and the sounds of all the fancy technical equiment that makes your guns go pew. You would not hear anything from other ships however - except the sound of twisting metal as it tears your ship apart.

At least one of the sounds should sound like the Terminator is coming.

Another should sound like the Predator is in the area...which is much like a woodpecker.
