Hey man, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you are quitting the game. I know that one day I'll make do the same and I hope to go out the way you are.

I don't like begging so anything like this makes me feel weird. But I've been starting a new journey in eve to try new things and I'm picking up trading and hope to get a nice income from it. Extra isk would make my adventure a bit nicer because I am a student with good grades and in maintain that I don't get much time to grind isk. My dream ship isn't a super but a vindicator fit to Garmon standards.

Way to pull out strong and good wishes to your adventures elsewhere.

Id buy tier 3 bc bpos and build some of each racial and distribute at cost (depending on amount given that might be free) to suicide gankers around jita or amarr and wait to see whether there are a few extras on the market or some wrecks when i slip out TwistedTwisted

I was helped into EVE by friends from this game:

http://www.pardus.at/

What happened was that I asked for, and got a 60 day trial from another player, got a PLEX loan from yet another player to activate the account, and starting specializing in mining for some start up capital to start market trading. Here's the thread (you'll need to sign up for an account to be able to view it, it's quick and free though):

http://forum.pardus.at/index.php?showtopic=56307&view=findpost&p=1141834

If you'd just like the post in question, here it is:

Quote:
I recently just got into EVE as well, and loving the game so far. Big thanks to Masterchief for bringing my attention to the game and the 60 day trial offer, as well as providing help and advice.

I've set a goal for myself to earn enough ISK to sustain my gaming, ensuring that I have enough PLEX to continue playing. Long term, I'm aiming to move in the industrialist direction. Currently i'm averaging 800k-1m an hour through jetcan mining, using a combination of a mining - specialized frigate + a stripped down, expanded cargohold destroyer to serve as a cargo hauler (The trial restrictions include not being able to use ships with larger cargoholds). However, because I have to move stuff around in itty - bitty amounts, it further compounds the already high risk of jetcan mining by adding more time to the period where the entire operation is vulnerable to anyone sweeping in and running off with the ore, not to mention the sheer inefficiency of trucking stuff around in a destroyer. I did plan to upgrade to a stripped - down cruiser, but it's still pretty much a marginal improvement.

Therefore, I'd like to ask for a loan from any of the Pardus players playing EVE, for 450 million ISK, in order to get my first PLEX and lift the trial restrictions off my account, mainly in order to be able to activate my industrial ships (I already received two from the introductory missions). I would repay the loan with 500 milllion ISK in 3 month's time. A few points to note:

1) I cannot offer much more than my word at present, unless you have an idea for collateral
2) That I worked out a system to earn a million an hour with the current heavy restrictions on money - making for trial accounts hopefully proves that I'm commited to doing this well
3) If I am unable to repay you at the end of the period, I will commit to upgrading my account to continue playing, at least until I have repaid your loan in full. Again, however, I have nothing to offer but my word.
4) I am not unable to pay for the game, however I feel that doing that takes away a lot of the challenge (and hence, fun) of playing such games. I've pretty much done the same in many other P2W MMORPGs, paying my way through the game through effort in the game, with a bit of business savvy.

Please PM my Orion character if you're interested. And thanks for reading.

2 months later, I've paid off my loan, gotten almost all the skills needed to specialize in mining, already fully self sufficient, and now working on moving into manufacturing/larger scale trading/investing. A few weeks ago or so, wanting to give back to the community that helped me into this great game I made the following offering:

http://forum.pardus.at/index.php?showtopic=56924&view=findpost&p=1150264

Again, here's the relevant post:

Quote:
So, as the title says I just found that I have one 60-day trial code as a Christmas gift courtesy of CCP, the company that develops and runs EVE Online. Since I managed to get into the game on the generosity of a couple other players to begin with, I'd like to help out another player who's really interested in getting in on the game.

However, I would like it to be someone who's really interested to get into EVE long term, not using the code just to lol around checking out the universe with no clear goal in mind. As such, I'm offering the code along with the same conditions that I had to work with in order to become self - sustaining in the EVE unicerse.

Resources provided:
1) 60 day trial code - Trial time is added onto your game time once you activate your account
2) In - game PLEX (30-day game time) loan - To activate your account and unlock a lot of the higher - end features
3) Equipment I no longer use, assuming you're going for the same mining/industrialist direction I did

Conditions:
1) Will sign up for the 14-day free trial first, and figure out what path you intend to take, towards what goal.
2) Will repay 500m ISK at the end of the 3 months at the latest - Prices for PLEX are currently somewhere in the range of 450m - 500m
3) Will provide me with a weekly short update of your progress (Listing assets, major expenditures, brief summary of goals).

4) Willing to back up your obligation by confirming it here on the Pardus forums

So, in essence should I get the ISK I'll be using it to fund and expand further on a newbie transition programme that I've already started for another gaming community, using my own time and my own resources up till now. As shown, I am not interested in helping players who just want to waste my ISK "checking out" the universe during their trial, only to /quitgame later. I'm also disinterested in using any donation to fund my own in-game activities of any stripe, since i'm having fun earning ISK to further my goals, through my own endeavours. Just doing my part to give back to the community that spawned me, so to speak, while helping newbies that have high potential into EVE. o7

IMO... Don't give it to an individual. There is no way to wade through the BS to see who is sincere and who is giving you a line. If/when I retire, my estate is going to my corp since I _know_ it would be put to good use. If that wasn't my situation I'd give it to Eve University.

Always sad to see vets go. I've taken my breaks, but always knew I'd come back. You should at least leave yourself the option and not come back completely destitute.

Magnanimity is such a rare thing in a galactic sandbox like EVE. I think that the 20 billion would be well spent rewarding those that have gone above and beyond in order to enrich the experience for others.

As others here have mentioned EVE University is a worthy and deserving cause.

Also, in my humble opinion, the following Corporations or individuals have developed services or programs that greatly enhance the EVE experience:

Grismar for the eve wiki: http://eve.grismar.net/wikka.php?wakka=WikiHome

Gripen for the continued support of EFT: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=24359

Estel Arador Corp Services for the generous jump clone service that they provide: http://community.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=939710

Mr M for the EVE Tribune and EVEGeek: http://evegeek.com/ and http://www.eve-tribune.com/

If you, The Mattius, chose to endow me with the ISK, the previous listed individuals and corporations would benefit by a 5 billion ISK donation each. Of course, you could cut out the middle man and reward them yourself!

It should be noted that I have no affiliation with any on the list other than considering Mr M a friend.

I'd plex my account and those of my friends in real life. Many of them who like eve but have famlies and cant justify spending money on an online game.

Iwould not just change my game experience but also bring people into the community that would not otherwise be here.

Simply put, I'd give most of it away.

Edit: I would also log the experience on a public website of how the isk has benefited myself and these new players.

I won't BS you and pretend to do some good deed or charity work.

Simply put I would use your isk to finally get some expensive ships and pew pew with them like I always wanted but could never afford. Due to work, RL (kids), sick parents, agro wife, missioning and grinding is tough. Never had that kind of isk before.

I would probably blow it all on stupid fun. Then I would probably retire like you because that would be my pinacle.

Some time ago, some friends and I looked into starting a series of races, find-and-seek, and other games for both existing and new players here in Eve. These are designed to be fun and entertaining, and to keep folks flying. The idea never got much past our alliance, however, due to lack of funds for advertising and prizes

Simply put, we are trying to make Eve a more entertaining place for all with a variety of options. For example:

1. Races (high, low, null, mixed) in a variety of ships or classes

2. Hide and seek (i.e. scan down and kill the target)

3. WH hunt - find the specific WH

4. Frigate fights and similar small gang engagements

5. Daredevil - (a) auto-pilot through low/null, (b) gate camp jumping or crashing, (c) pilot a ridiculous ship such as a T1 indy through a hostile area, (d) etc

These are just some example of things my buddies and I do all the time. My goal is to bring this to the greater Eve community through a series of sponsored events and ultimately corp / alliance involvement.

I would use the ISK to fund prizes, advertise, solicit sponsors, etc.

Hi! Ironically, I was looking at the MD forum and thinking about posting a bond proposal when I saw this post.

I am an up and coming T3 manufacturer. I have other accounts who have also done just about everything in Eve and have decided to dedicate this player to providing cheap advanced ships and fittings to other up and coming players. Though I feel you need to work hard to earn access to advanced ships, I also know that making them affordable and reasonable benefits everyone

To keep it short and sweet, I would use the funds to expand my T3 manufacturing capabilities and provide cheap T3s for as many as I can

if i had 20 billion isk i would actually help nooblets like myself with skill books and implants as it is hard to get into the game or any game without some sort of help. past that i dont know what i would do as i just started and dont think i am deserving of the isk. some ppl have said donate it to Eve University. that might be the thing to do as they are the biggest help some pilots can get.

Simply, i would like to hear how it would change the way you play Eve (hopefully for the better). Ideas like i would buy expensive ships and fly them through 0.0 are unlikely to get you far, i'm looking for orginal ideas on how you would use this ISK.

Thats it, no other conditions and this offer is open to anyone, one day old characters to beta (and probably bitter) vets Big smile

It's a big chunk of Isk, and I'd use it like so: To help my friend start up her eve service.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=785898 <--- This is where you can read a tiny bit about it. She's actually been spending a lot of her time brainstorming, commissioning a guy to actually code on-the-fly calculation software that works with API keys, and gathering some initial funds for it and taking on a few loans since there's quite a bunch of mission runners throughout eve (not to mention people who just have hangars full of "Stuff" they want to remove from their assets tab) who really WOULD appreciate being able to sell their loot at Jita prices from any location. Having 20b extra liquid would allow the servicing of a higher multiple of customers at once right from the start. It would also help pay for any additional freighters and T2 haulers that may be needed.

So in short:
Can I use your 20b to help jump-start a cool service that would remove a lot of jumping, time consumption, and headache from a vast majority of EVE players' lives? (Thereby changing the way MANY can play eve instead of just one person with an easy to use service).

This would also have the intentional side effect of making a Lady (a very special one at that) INCREDIBLY happy. Which would definitely affect the way I play eve in quite a positive way =)

I'm selfish, so forget all this stuff about helping noobs and running a space charity.

I'd use the 20 billion for a number of things, and I'd have a ton of fun, way more fun than a bunch of noobs getting free noob ships.

I would:

Build two or three solid mission running Machariels so that ISK is never a problem.
Plug in the +5 learning implants.
Get the top notch gunnery implants.
Enjoy quickly running missions etc.
Play some profitable shenanigans on the market.
Do some Tornado ganking for laughs and tears.
Contract some mercenaries for a scam I have planned.
Enjoy the hell out of Eve until I have 100 billion ISK to give away on the forum, probably with a community Youtube contest.

Just to confirm a few points.

I am reading each and every idea.
I am certainly not trolling!
This is not a scam.

I haved also considered the possibility I would want to return one day,
which is why I will not be selling/biomassing this character.
To be honest if I did ever come back (unlikely) I would prefer to start
over anyway.

Please log on one last time, buy a lot of bpo from ccp, destroy them and create by this your own little isk sink. Maybe that would be a little fun as you surely have not done this before in your long career.

I would hire mercs to declare war on the greifers, that kill new players in high sec.
We need less greifers and more new players, that will keep playing this beautifull game.

Just look for something ingame that supports newb like eve-uni for example , but there are more of those.

Allthough i'd advice just keeping it as you prob will come back one day or the other .
