It's illegal where I live (Jaywalking) and they WILL ticket you for it.
I work/walk on a campus where I am asked to set a good example.
Life is too enjoyable to be stressed about getting anywhere 30 seconds quicker.

If the laws were different in my area, then for the most part I wouldn't care.
