Yo.
So far in my EVE life I've done a number of things PVE: Wormholes, lvl 4s, exploration... The thing I definitely enjoyed most, was wormholing. However, this takes a lot of time. Right now I'm at a point where I'd like to log in and not have to scan for 15-45 minutes to check my entrances/exits, mash d-scan every 10 seconds and not have to worry about my POS being attacked.

I feel a bit "burned out" from many things I've done up until now, but I'd still like to continue playing and doing PVE, as it can be quite fun. I just need something new, I think. I'm not sure specifically what I'm asking, but I guess I'm wondering if anyone has been in similar situations and what you did / what "revived" EVE for you.

I've looked over this and the things I'm currently considering are lvl 5 missions or low/null exploration, and would be interested in the current state of affairs regarding those. What would've been perfect for me, is some gameplay similar to sleepers and how the rewards work (Rewards from looting/salvaging, not LP/bounties), but without all the hassle of either finding a satisfying corp (A tedious task) or doing it all solo.

Also, due to my lack of ability to commit, I'm a solo player when it comes to PVE. At least I've been so far.

Anywho, thoughts? Smile

Sounds like your career path is a lot like mine.

I worked my way through months and months in a WH, went out and got a strong T2 invention/manufacturing thing going but these days I focus mostly on exploration.

The skills you picked up in the WH will serve you very well, the rewards are varied enough to add spice to life and you do it at your own pace with your own level of dedication to it, you log in and jump right in and spend as much time doing it as you like.

It works fairly well for the solo player too, though there are definately advantages to working in exploration as a group.

Best of luck.

Jump into a cloaky pvp ship, fly out to deep null-sec where players think they're safe and then start hunting.

I've found it to be extremely entertaining.

Same thing happened to me. What I did was plex a PVP toon. Started it in RVB till I had good BC skills, T2 drake , then managed to get into a NULL corp. My time is sometimes limited, only get maybe 2hrs a day, sometimes every other day to play. So 3 days in the WH, check everyday to make sure its OK, and the rest of the time I PVP. Its a great change. I now sometimes even do some incursions.
Reason I went to RVB is that its a great place to learn and you don't get poded. So trained up cybernetics to 4, put in some plus 4 learning implants, and if you plan your mapping you will very quickly be in a T2 drake, which most PVP corps will use. I trained to use amarr BS and pulses next as most big fleet engagement will be in abbadon's or maelstroms, but amarr gets you into a NM.

I should probably have said this to begin with, but I do have a 30m SP PVP toon I use for small gang/solo PVP quite frequently. But I'm one of those strange people who actually ejoy a bit of PVE. P

Thanks for the suggestions, anyway.

W-space does make demands of you in return for that increased isk / goodies it offers. I find myself needing to take a break from w-space at regular intervals. For me the 'revival' is the fact that I **can** head off and do somethign completely different ... and still return to w-space later when I want.

When I do this I usually have my babysitter / scanner-guy despawn sites as they pop-up. I know it's throwing isk to the wind but it does make my systems less obviously attractive to transient visitors.

When I head out for a 'holiday', back amongst the crowds, I usually go run the four lvl4 epic arcs, the pirate lvl3 epic arcs, some nullsec missions (or just taunt the local PvP wannabes), or some incursions. I also dabble a bit with lowsec / nullsec exploration but haven't really got the hang of that. One time I joined rvB and played there for a while.

Previous responder mentioned the lvl4 epic arcs and, given my obvious business interests, I'd be remiss not to speakup for the pirate arcs. They're nullsec PvE content, are limited to frigate / destroyer hulled ships (AF fastest to complete, but can be done in rifter or equivalent), include the fun-and-games of everyone in the region also trying to kill you, and they provide a decent return for the entertainment. Of course they're not something you can do all-the-time ... ya runs them, goes off to do something else, and then if ya wants ya runs them again later (3-months or more later).

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
