Given that it is hopelessly easy to post on a ''forum alt'', what happens if the same person manages to become a CSM candidate on two separate characters or accounts? Are the votes added up? Is he/she disqualified?

I am pretty sure no one would be able to do that, so why bother considering the eventuality?

Well on a serious note, you do have to send in all your account info to CCP for background check. With that and 100 likes you are in for nomination I think.

More serious note. Yes someone could fake their account info and send in both to CCP and both get chairs. Then say the holder is your grandma. (but you did all the posting.)

On more serious note, I dont know with the background check if they need your passport then or not. Suppose to be able to get one to run for CSM, but not sure when they check that info or so.

Point 3 of candidacy: You must provide a scan or reasonable quality photograph of a valid passport to verify your identity and that you can travel internationally to the CCP HQ in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Point 5: You must be willing for your real name and country of residence to be made public alongside your character name on the EVE Online website. No other personal details required for candidacy will be made public.

Point 8: You must have up to date and accurate account ownership information on all of your EVE Online accounts.

also, that would be a fun candidacy. "Hey guys, I'm Bob, and I'm IN NO WAY INVOLVED with the Mittani. Also, I have done nothing of note but shitpost on the forums. Vote for me~"

Hopefully that won't happen, and if it does, just disqualify the account with the fewer votes, and move on to the first runnerup.

If a person has enough presence to win votes on more than one alt, why shouldn't they receive two positions? It seems only fair to me.

You can only run as your RL self and you have to select which character represents you in RL. This is why CCP requires a copy of your passport, etc... You are not voting for virtual pixel people, you are voting for real people represented by pixel people. To clarify this, I am a pretty handsome dude but I am not, in fact, a hot Minmatar woman.

Except on Wednesdays. Cool

Good question.

In accordance to the CSM white paper though, it isn't a character who runs for the CSM - it's a person. So we wouldn't be able to accept multiple applications from the same person, I'd think.

What if I gave blood to someone or a kidney. Would he count as me and him then or if he won I couldn't win?

What if one person had multiple personalities? Does the white paper cover this contingency?
