Why should a w-space resident consider you?

Noir. has fought in wormhole space multiple times, and we are keenly aware of the special considerations needed for wormhole space.

Can you please be more specific as to the current issues you see with the subjects you covered, and what your ideas are around solving those issues?

Just stating I'm a well respected merc with a lot of EVE experience won't get my vote good sir...and I prefer to stay within the Eve Online forums as I know they are safe to visit.

Consider that, being in charge of Noir for over four years, Alekseyev Karrde has experienced every facet of warfare in EVE, from the high sec wardec to wormholes, sovereignty to large scale combat in null sec. Consider the state of EVE at this moment, broken concepts like bounties, faction warfare, empire wars. Neglected ideas, broken concepts and inconsistency. The list goes on.

There isn't another CSM candidate who can boast that level of experience, with a tried and proven track record both ingame and previous CSM. There isn't another CSM candidate out there, who can represent all parties without taking sides, with the experience and perception needed to bridge the gaps and find the best solutions for all.

If you value EVE, if you value combat and business, if you want an experienced voice that stands for all parties from the great to the small, vote Alekseyev Karrde.

I can't speak for Alek but I can say the following based upon how Noir. operate and the attitude to the game in general.

Neutral remote repping is a broken mechanic. We don't use it in Noir. because it's a terrible game mechanic and a dishonourable way to fight. It's certainly something that needs revisiting. There are plenty of simple solutions to this that have been suggested time and time over. They just need prioritising.

War decs are not working well at present. It's very cheap and easy to start a war and its easy to 'alliance hop' or 'dec shield' to counter. As mercenaries Noir. relies on the "war dec" mechanic, however, we a not hi-sec greifers so we appreciate the requirement for a well thought out counter measure for wars or the ability to counter using a third party. Being non-politically motivated and able to fully appreciate both sides in this area is key.

Noir. is also champion of the "little guy"; we are experienced in fighting in small gang warfare and not winning by simply having the biggest boots. Whilst the big power blocks of sov and empire are pushing their candidates forward with the might of their alliances behind them to vote, it is worth remembering that a lot of people play this game within a small group.

By voting Alek you are gaining the experience of years of diverse EVE game play along with the non-political fairness that would be ideal for the CSM. In addition to being a respected merc with a lot of experience you are voting for an attitude of prefessionalism and fairness that is inherent to Noir.'s history from day one. Aside from specific motives or answers having open-minded, fair players on the CSM is key.

If you like the sound of this please like the original post and vote for Alekseyev Karrde.

Alekseyev ~

First off, that one time I flew with you was pretty awesome. There were some other times, too...

...in any case. I'd like to ask some questions.

What do you envision for the place of hisec wardecs in the long run? Does your interest lie more in developing entry-level PVP in lowsec or hisec? What do you think of this kind of model?

I notice that your members seem to be largely against neutral logistics, even considering it to be a 'broken' mechanic. On the other hand, virtually everyone else who PVPs in hisec would greatly prefer their logistics to be neutral, as it does not spike the wartargets' local with unnecessary reds and scare them off unduly; having all your logistics in-corp will actually ruin a large number of otherwise reasonable fights. Which way do you lean?

What are your thoughts on the problems of logistics in general on stations and even gates? They are pretty close to invulnerable (albeit not too hard to defeat); many people consider the difficulty in killing them to be a sign that they are wildly overpowered rather than attempting to counter them. But the fact remains, logistics on stations are almost impossible to kill. Do you think this is a problem? If it were up to you, would you change it? What about bumping the timer up to as high as the dock/jump timer of the guy you're repping, so you can dock or jump at the same time?

Have you had experiences with logistics in large gang/small fleet fights in hisec recently (or, heck, large fleet fights)? Are you aware of the way the 'incursion' aggression changes have roadblocked legitimate hisec logistics?

Who would win in a fight, two bears or three hundred angry ducks?

Looking forward to a reply~

I don't know about the rest of it, but I can say with confidence that Alekseyev is a pro Guardian pilot.

Sweet. I hope I'm pretty good at it when I have the attention to spare from my DPSer; unfortunately, even having your full attention on the logi ship barely helps mitigate this... uh... I'm gonna call it a bug, because there is no good reason for it to occur.

The war model thing is here, as linked above; I describe the problem with logistics in the last two paragraphs of this post. I'd love to hear your feedback and responses on both.

Widders was all like "COME AT ME BRO!" and I'm all like "I CAME!"

Aleks vs. Widders (why you should vote perspective not proposal, vision of war in EVE, Alek goes point by point on Widders war dec proposal)

Aleks/Widders II (Neutral RR)

Will you advocate the removal of local? As in having every body present in system showing up on the local chat without chatting. I can accept a local implemented for 0.0 sov systems to the alliance defending it as a perk. But otherwise I want it to be a thing of the past, gone and forgotten.

CCP's longstanding position on local is they want to remove it's utility as an intel tool but only if they can replace it with something better. I think that position is reasonable and can only pray I live to serve on the CSM that contributes to that effort. I do in general support improved information gathering tools as a perk to sov space, provided the owners make the appropriate trade offs. This is already done ad-hoc via intel channels and alt scouts watching local, but I would like to see it supported in-game with more elegance (give players a reason to want it over alt scouts + intel channels), not reliant on Local as an intel tool, and tied somehow to a balanced sov system.

If I may ask, why do you want local chat removed? I have made friends and enemies there, gotten fights, bought and sold goods, and generally had a great time. Removing local chat would basically isolate the clueless noob entirely.

There're a few ideas out there that would solve the problem of Local as in intel tool without removing the capability for chatting. Look at WH for instance; it's certainly possible to do there just has to be a design choice to do it.
