Hi guys,

Haven't logged in for ages. Can't say I miss it either.

Howe I'm still getting e-mail about the guide, and apparently nobody can find it anywhere? I find it hard to believe the guide is still relevant after all these years?

If it is, I'll happily host it again.

Just let me know!

Thanks :)

PS. WOW these new forums suck!

Yes, the guide is quite relevant still. Mining is the same (overall) as it was when you wrote the guide. Some numbers have been tweaked (like Orca bonuses for instance) but overall there haven't been any major changes.

I found an online version of the guide over at EVE Files, but it was a bit long to track down (like... 3 or 4 searches at most)... *sarcasm*

Need to know how much ore to mine in order to yield a certain order of minerals? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=67477 It will even calculate how long you can expect for it to take!

Your guide was the best guide I ever discovered and it helped me a lot in my beginnings, I recommand it to every newcomer interested in mining I meet. And still go few copies around my digital devices just in caseBig smile And yeah, mining is pretty much the same, there are just some minor changes.

Yes, the new forums suck.
Yes, your mining guide is still quite relevant, though as noted, there have been tweaks to some of the numbers (also, there are T2 ganglinks now)

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I'm considering updating it to v4 with more additions, but I'd need to join a corp with access to 0.0 space and possibly WH space so I can tweak numbers. Nobody I know still plays EVE actively.

PS. Why does it take forever for the characters to appear when I type with these new forums?

It isn't perfect, and is a bit dated now, but it is still the best available.

What browser are you using? Firefox 10.0 and chrome 14.0 work just fine for me.....

Even for this total carebear hi-sec quasi-miner, your guide was hugely helpful and save me a lot of misery early on.

It was the first real, well written guide I came across in my first adventures two or three accounts ago.

I pretty much followed it to the letter and I am richer for it now many years later.

Thanks so much.

Yeah new forums sucks, but we still has spaceships Cool

Just use the test server. Kinda what its there for.

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

The changes should mostly be the new t2 command modules for boosts.

Your guide is still the best of any out there for eve. Suspect Chribba would host it for you if you asked, if you don't want to keep the website running for it.

Glad to see you back.

I still found it useful and not all the numbers need updates.

I think it's been replicated so many times out there that it might just be easier to put it on the eve wiki and let people make changes as they are necessary. I think this is already happening actually.

Always found the guide to be very helpful in my early days.
Best resource for any would be miners out there imo.

I have to say, I still refer any new miners to your guide first-off (and keep a copy hosted on my own webspace for linking to people in my own corp). While some of the numbers are a bit off (mostly due to market fluctuations and the new T2 ganglinks), the core math is still exactly the same and completely relevant. Good work in writing such an amazing guide.

Wherever could you find a corporation with 0.0 access? I wonder. I can't think of it right now, but it'll come to me. This corporation may (does) even have an Industry V system with a refining station. Oh man it's right on the tip of my tongue...
